Full Scottish breakfast was lovely the following morning.
Room felt slightly cramped with baby's cot as well.

Enjoyed the spacious bathroom with a big shower. Nice comfortable bed and lots of storage space for items. Good selection of refreshments.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing due to the lack of staff no coffees like cappuccinos were served. Our cooked breakfast was missing the sausages and tomatoes. Although the rest of our meal was good, the bavette steak on the evening meal was really chewy and hard. We were not offered a replacement.

Excellent value for money. Owners obviously take pride in upgrading the hotel. Food was great. Rooms spacious. Always our go to for travelling to nearby knockhill
Nothing. No issues. All good

Excellent hotel very warm friendly staff. Nice food breakfast and the restaurant also.

Very welcoming from the outside. Rooms were lovely & decorated to a high standard
After our show we returned to the hotel for drinks, the bar staff weren’t very inviting. There wasn’t any hello’s or general chit chat. Was told there was no ice to make our cocktails - I wasn’t fussy as my cocktail didn’t require ice. There was 2 bar maids, 1 just stood there while the other served us making 3 cocktails. Breakfast the next day wasn’t a pleasant experience either, the 2 young girls took 15 mins to come & take our order the restaurant wasn’t busy, 6 people if lucky. Had to ask 3 times for brown sauce. Had to ask for cutlery to eat our breakfast, there was no forks on the table.

Room was lovely and clean the design was nice and the food was amazing and the staff were absolutely fantastic and a credit to the hotel
The noise coming from the floorboards and you could hear the people above us walking round, the sound proofing is none existent unfortunately and the bed was very noisy when you moved and so uncomfortable, no place in the shower for to put your toiletries when having a shower.

I thought the location was great, the staff were friendly and the price was very reasonable!
I did have a look out the window and the windows were quite dirty but not a real criticism. Everything else was first class.

its not like a hotel its more like poor accommodation

The room was cosy, well made and spotless. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They even got a lil toy to keep my 11 month old engaged while we have our dinner. Loved the breakfast as well.
Our 2nd morning, literally the day we were planing to check out, we didn’t seem to get hot water. We weren’t sure what was wrong and we didn’t have the time to get it sorted that morning as we had to leave early

Nothing really stood out.
When we checked in we were given one key card, not told what time breakfast was, and given no information about accessing wifi or anything else. In fact when we walked into reception there was nobody there. It appeared several staff members were collected in a staff only room opposite the reception desk. We collected our one key card and walked to our room. Couldn't figure out why the corridor radiators were on in August but it made it pretty warm.
Our booking was for two adults and a child but it only showed as two adults, so although it was a family room the sofabed wasn't made up, and we were told housekeeping had left for the day. It turned out that the coach party that arrived just after us needed some things doing so housekeeping were called back and they sorted our room for us. The housekeeping lady in fact was very nice and the best member of staff we spoke to.
The room was a bit warm to sleep in due to the corridor radiator being on full but it was otherwise OK and clean, however there was only a very small bathroom sized bin in the bedroom. There was a good amount of freeview channels available. Unfortunately the shower was really rubbish. Weak pressure and not all of the water spouts on the small, fixed shower head working. Temperature control was also difficult to find the right balance between too hot and cold. The shower curtain was also too short and kept billowing in on you. There was no anti slip mat to place in the bath and the fan didn't operate whilst using the shower.
I didn't go to breakfast on the first day as I went to parkrun and it was only offered until 9.30 on the Saturday, but I'm told that there was basically no buffet food left when my family went down at 9am, no cups etc, they had to wait quite a while for more to be brought out.
On the Sunday I think the breakfast times were different based on what I overheard from another guest but they didn't tell us at reception when we asked.

Our arrival at the Hotel was delayed until 05:00 due to issues with flight.
Easy journey from Edinburgh Airport: 20 mins.
Price for one night was massively cheaper than the cost of a room near Edinburgh or Edinburgh Airport.
Checked in and straight to very comfortable bed.
Good shower / toilet facilities.
Staff were very helpful: they made fresh cooked breakfast for us as we were very late for breakfast in restaurant.
Very good value for money.
Nothing.

central to where we needed to stay
staff were spot on and a great help
great price and food was lovely with a great selection of beer, wine and spirits
very noisy and this was mainly down to the maids getting the clean linen ready for the morning

Very friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Had lunch which was very tasty and fresh.

Convenient for overnight stay prior to early flight from Edinburgh airport. Friendly and helpful receptionist arranged for change of room to the back of the hotel as the room allocated overlooked the busy road.

The car park was a good size, in great condition and well marked out. The breakfast was well varied with a selection of cold, hot and cereal options with a good range of drink options, the evening meal options were good and well presented.
The bed was comfortable and the shower although slow to warm was sufficient once up to temperature.
The staff were super helpful and friendly
Overall the room and place were great for exploring the area with a warm welcome each evening after finishing the days explore.
There was a chip shop and convenience store just across the road and using the hotel outdoor seating meant you did not have to stink your room out with the smell of fried food.
A welcome pamphlet in the room with meal times and a reminder to book a table for the evening meal would have been more useful than the general advertising pamphlet found in the room.
The room was at the front of the hotel and I am guessing one of the older rooms, there was limited desk space which was taken mostly up by the kettle and bed side light. There used to be a shelf in the toilet, the wall plugs were still visible, this meant there was a lack of storage for toiletries.

Excellent bar and restaurant.
Warm and comfy ambience.
Bed uncomfortable and too small for my taste.
Seemed to be on a slope!

Nice location. Quiet at night. Nice bar and restaurant area. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Rooms not very clean: carpets not well vacuumed, one toilet very dirty and unflushed, an old chip in another room. Single bedroom very small and bed had no headboard and too far away from wall to sit up in bed.

The bed was comfortable and spacious. There was tea and coffee available. I felt there was plenty space.
The shower was not very powerful.

This was a return visit for us, based on previous visits. The hotel staff were all very warm and welcoming. The lunch and evening meals that we had were excellent.
The room was very cramped. The heating could not be turned off, which resulted in an extremely hot and uncomfortable sleeps. The breakfast offered was continental, when we were expecting a full cooked Scottish breakfast, based on our previous visits.

clean, friendly and amazing food and drinks.
