- No air-conditioning in the rooms meant it got quite warm (fan was provided)
- The check in process was slow as they couldn’t find our booking on the system, and we weren’t provide much information from the staff regarding check out time, location / time of breakfast, facilities available etc.

The location in a beautiful park nearby the city center of Horsens and close to the highway was very good. The room was spacious enough, the bed was really comfortable and on the ground floor. Have been there before when it was Scandic who owned the place and it seems that it is getting slightly better with Comwell.
First of all, we didn´t receive any information about the hotel was under reconstruction. There were noise and closed entrances etc. It seemed like the hotel didn´t want to inform their guests to make sure they didn´t cancel their reservation. The breakfast was served in a somewhat boring conference room, due to the remodelling, apparently, of the restaurant. Still a pity when you book a hotel from the architectural features, which is the case with an old estate from the 1700s.
On top of this, the buns at the breakfast buffet was boring bake-off. Actually the rest of the breakfast was delicious but the buns were really boring and dry. It didn´t live up to the standard this kind of hotel should have.
