Angsana Velavaru - part of Banyan Group with Free return Seaplane Transfers

The resort has really nice water and beach villas, I would say some touch ups needed

Some staff members are not very happy or helpful

“It wasn’t just the impeccable luxury property and the amazing nature,  that made the experience unforgettable, it was the people”. This was what I relayed and congratulated to the warm and hospitable General Manager of Angsana Velavaru , Mr Ahmed Zahir, when I had the pleasure of meeting him during my last breakfast at this amazing resort. The authentic hospitality shown by every one of the employees at Angsana Velavaru is perhaps the only reason why you should spend your time and money here. From the buggy drivers to our rooms (Mr Annu, Ayyaaz, Nik and a few more whom I don’t remember how to spell their names), the receptionists (Miss Sai – from Medhoo Island, Miss Irene from Malaysia) to the amazingly hospitable Mr Hussein (a proud Maldivian himself) and welcoming Miss Layla (from Thailand) whom took time to recommend the food and drinks at almost every meal and kindly arranged for our panoramic tea time at the Azzuro on-the-sea restaurant, and the Bangladeshi bartender at Azzuro and the Kazakhstani receptionist on the main island – my parents and I would like to extend our utmost appreciation for your 6-Star service , smiles and genuine hospitality.  What touched my heart the most was the attention that everyone gave to my elderly parents. The moment they see my parents walking towards the restaurant or their rooms, there WAS always someone who came to ask whether they needed the buggy and some like Miss Sai (the receptionist) even held my Mom by her side when walking to the boat or even to the ladies restroom. We will definitely make a point to come back here. Congratulations to Mr Ahmed Zahir for your outstanding leadership that glues every employee together to make Angsana Velavaru an excellent getaway destination.

the location is heavenly divine. the staff was welcoming and the service was impeccable. our stay was memorable in every sense of the word.

It was an amazing location and room was spacious enough for a family. Snorkeling trip was great.

Was not very impressed with the pool side bar staff members, except a couple of them. Didn't find them welcoming enough, happy enough while taking drinks order. Hence, I did not find the "All Inclusive" package a great value for money. Even for fresh juices for kids they were asking extra payment. A lot of questions and resistance from staffs before fulfilling any order, which we did not appreciate.
