An exceptional hotel in a historic location. The hotel will pick you up from the car park in their buggy. The staff were universally friendly and polite from before our trip to afterwards ; the buffet breakfast was excellent with so much choice; the pool was stunning. The bedrooms had the most amazing views with comfortable beds and well provided bathrooms
There could have been more plugs in our bedroom. Our bedroom door (room7) didn’t fully close. Location won’t suit everyone due to hilly streets and cobbles.

Incredible location - the views from the clifftop over the Adriatic were simply stunning. The staff couldn't be more helpful and their local knowledge was very helpful too. Bedrooms were comfortable and clean.
The very loud music from the public beach bars below our rooms which was relentless between 10pm and 1am. We were unlucky in that our room was right above this so make sure when you book that your room is in a different part of the building. The loud music was drum and base and unless you're young and clubby, it doesn't 'work' with the type of fabulous UNESCO experience that was expected. I am sure that the hotel is deeply upset by this too and can't do anything about it. Such a shame.
