Very welcoming, brilliant shower.
It’s undergoing refurbishment but they are managing it very well so not a bad comment really.

The decor was a little dated but clean
The staff were friendly .
Breakfast was good
The residents bar was good and not over expensive . Our train was cancelled on the Sunday and we had to stay an extra day kept same room and did not overpay

BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT. GOOD QUALITY PRODUCE, LOTS OF CHOICE. THOROUGHLY ENJOYED IT. HAVING ONLY PAID A SMALL AMOUNT FOR THE ROOM IT WAS ADEQUATE FOR A LAST MINUTE ONE NIGHT STAY. DISAPPOINTED THERE WAS NO DINNER OPTION. COULD BE A BEAUTIFUL HOTEL AFTER REFURBISHMENT.
THE BREAKFAST WAS SUPERB. PLENTY OF PARKING. BAR WAS VERY NICE.

Good position for us. Clean room. Pleasant staff. Excellent response to my query about noise from refurbishment and function.
Limited breakfast and no dining opportunities, probably because of refurbishment.
