Banyan Tree Bintan

This was our second stay at Banyan Tree Bintan, and once again, we had a wonderful experience. It was especially nice to return to a resort we had enjoyed before, and the warm hospitality made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. A special thank you to Kasir, who still remembered us from our previous stay. It was such a lovely personal touch to be recognised on our return. He was always friendly and helpful, frequently taking us around the resort by buggy and making sure we were well taken care of. He also helped us with our check-out smoothly and efficiently, which we really appreciated. We would also like to thank Ari, as well as our drivers Aga and Ayong, who were both friendly, helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. Their warm service made getting around and our transfers so much more pleasant. A special mention also goes to the wonderful cleaning team — Tommy, Darwig and Li Lik. On the last night of our stay, they prepared a very thoughtful surprise for us and the kids using towels. It was such a sweet and unexpected gesture, and the children absolutely loved it! It was a wonderful way to end our holiday and created a lovely memory for our family. Everyone we met was genuinely friendly, attentive and accommodating, and all the little personal touches made us feel very well looked after. Overall, everything was lovely — the villa, surroundings, atmosphere and, most importantly, the genuine hospitality from the team. Thank you to the entire Banyan Tree Bintan team for another memorable family stay. We enjoyed our second visit just as much as the first and look forward to returning again! 🌴❤️

The calm, the very attentive hotel staff, the private pool

The only five star resort in the main stretch of Bintan beach. The food at the restaurants is also delicious. The villas are big but showing the age (private pool).

At check -out, we were charged for the tote bag that was inside our closet. In 5 star resorts, these are usually for use for guests. They insisted there was a price tag so we had to pay at check-out cos the bag was packed inside the luggage. However, I sent a photo as proof afterwards that for this particular bag, there was indeed no price tag thus we thought it was for guests to bring with them. They stopped responding to my last message when I raised it and insisted we were wrong. It’s a shame that they are doubting the honesty of their guests for a 5 star resort that charges 500++ GBP per night. Really disappointing.
