The property was stunning. In one place, you get traditional Balinese architecture, lush gardens featuring lotus-covered ponds and mini rice terraces, a creek cutting across the resort, an impressive art museum, and a local theatre that put on quite the show. Dining options onsite didn't disappoint - a restaurant overlooking the creek and terraces (breakfast with a view) and a separate cafe where we enjoyed complimentary high tea that came with our villa package. The villa was as beautiful as advertised, with great AC and a clean private pool that made it a heavenly retreat from the midday heat. Just a short walk from the gates, you'll find a supermarket and a few pleasant cafes and restaurants. Super happy with our decision to stay here given that we had less than a week in Bali, were wary of the traffic in/around Ubud, and (as anticipated) had lazy days when we just wanted to hole up. Even when we chose to stay in, being on the grounds was an experience in itself. One of the things we’ll miss most is the ambient sound of flowing water and birdsong; at the villa, you hear no noise from the streets or neighbors. Finally, this review wouldn’t be complete without thanking the wonderful team across the resort and museum; literally everyone we met was gracious and attentive.
P.S. Loved the little details - the bowl of local fruit, the woven tote you can borrow on a day out, the gong in lieu of a doorbell, the daily offerings across the grounds, the cinnamon sticks served with coffee... I can go on and on.
Pillows - might need an update and/or a deep clean, didn't smell fresh (I covered mine up with the spare towels, my partner was able to live with it though)
Steps - plenty of them around the property; we didn't dislike like this (the elevation changes are part of what makes the place picturesque), but it's something we needed to be mindful of (especially at night) and would be a key consideration for anyone with mobility issues.

Such a beautiful hotel, the grounds are amazing. Great amenities on a site and a perfect location for exploring Ubud. The staff are so helpful and your taken care of daily with genuine kindness and consideration.

Arma Museam and Park
Room was not clean upon arrival, dirty towels and the rooms are clearly outdated and in need of renovation. The hotel promotes sustainability and environmental awareness, but having to run the shower for five minutes before getting warm water contradicts that message. Water pressure was also weak.
Arma and his family are kind and welcoming people, which we appreciated. However, some of the staff — not all — provided service that was far below what I would expect from Arma’s standards.
Overall, the hotel rooms urgently need an upgrade. Apart from the Arma Museum, I do not understand how this property maintains such a high rating.
