Best place in Old Town Puerto Vallarta

This is our favorite hotel in Puerto Vallarta; we've been staying here for more than 25 years. It's nothing fancy, but the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, the rooms are simple but clean, and the location can't be beat. We love it because we feel like we're in Mexico when we stay at Posada Roger.

Location is awesome. Very centric. The property is very cute and charming.

Room wasn’t very clean there was hair all over the walls in the shower. No soap. The checkin guy wasn’t friendly very unwelcoming.

hotel near all major things to see in *old* vallarta

small price variation due to MXN-USD conversion even if I have mexican credit card they wanted to charge in USD (in a mexican hotel) - price also bit higher than normally due to one day of public mexican holiday

Great Location, Great Staff!

The location allowed a quiet sleep while being totally walkable to the beach and great restaurants. All of the STAFF were super fiendly and helpful

The stairs are typical mexican and of slightly varying heights. We also had a step up into our bathroom of about 8 inches ... hard on my old knees! When I asked about a change of room to a lower floor, they were very accommodating. We had a 13 night stay and would return again.

Cute old school hotel in the center of romantic zone. Charming patio, this is not an international class hotel. This a family run hotel and the rooms have one window and are all small.

absolutely amazing hotel with the best staff ever!

We LOVED this hotel! the location was fantastic, the interior was wonderfully decorated, the staff was kind and accommodating, there was a communal kitchen which was great for saving money by just doing cereal for breakfast, and the maintenance was quick to respond when we had a small issue late at night! We would highly recommend to anyone wanting a great place to stay!

It is really hard to think of anything I didn’t like… I guess the location was a little bit noisy, but that comes with being in the middle of the Romantic Zone!

Wonderful place and would definitely stay again.

great place. good location in heart of romantic zone. Owners and staff are really welcoming and helpful. nice pool. Fresh water available to fill up water bottle. we had an evening flight. They held our bags and we hung out at pool. then were able to use a bathroom with shower to change before heading to airport.

room had a light musty smell that didn’t go away. We were in 107 so could’ve just been our room

I liked the safe deposit box for the security of your valuables.

I didn't like the low ceiling over the toilet when you would stand up you could hit your head which is what I did the first time then you learn quickly from that first time.

Central location could not be better as so central Beautiful plants and flora dotted around gorgeous.

Bit creepy, dark and unloved with bulky dark wood furniture thats seen better days. Sheets and towels thin and greying youd probably throw them away at home. Nothing like the monogrammed white ones they show on their website photos. Windows face straight onto terrace that people are walking round up against window as is a riad type of set up so theres no privacy. Everything a bit rickety and grubby looking. Pool very cloudy would be dangerous if a child fell in as you can't see the bottom.I wouldn't go in it after googling reason for cloudy water in pools.
