big room great location and price

Location - everything was within 15-20minutes walk; train station, museums and Magical Mystery Bus tour pick-up point. We were visiting with our niece who has recently discovered The Beatles so our trip revolved around this. We wanted a basic but clean enough place to stay over. Arrived early morning and staff held our backpacks while we hit two museums and they also held them after our checkout as train home was almost 6pm. Check in/out swift. We had no issue with noisy neighbours or doors slamming. Which was a bonus in such a large and busy hotel.
Room was as expected. Basic but our room was clean, sheets clean and comfortable beds, shower good - it did the job. Basic kettle - also did the job and plenty of tea and clean cups. We’d stay again if we just needed somewhere to get our heads down.
Nothing really to add. We knew what to expect and it was nothing above or below expectations. It did the job

Rooms were clean and good Value for money. Easy check in with friendly staff. We didn’t use the breakfast option so not sure how that would have been. Actually a lot quieter (noise wise) than I expected being a city centre hotel on a football weekend so pleasantly surprised.
Bed a little too soft and generally nowadays hotels have kingsize beds. This was a double bed and feels to small for modern hotels.

The location is great, the rooms were clean
We had to get a lift to the first floor and then walk down two flights of stairs to our room, if you have mobility issues ask not to be put in M4-M9, no room service for 3 days u collect towels and toilet paper from reception
