A hotel full of character and great facilities. It is located in a very quiet village, so not alot going on but the hotel offered a spacious room for three. There was a simple gym space available, alongside a sauna and the rooftop pool was impressive - overlooking the surrounding landscape was really quite magical.
We were half board for 3 nights and the food was really delicious, varied and plentiful - a lovely base to come back to after a day’s exploring. Free parking was a bonus too!
With such great facilities, we were surprised to not find a fridge in our room. It would have really helped to have some means to keep drinks and snacks cool during our stay.

The location is in a beautiful town that is lovely to walk. The food was amazing and plentiful! The service was wonderful. The pool and roof deck, sauna and steam room were perfect for recovery after long hikes.
A fan or AC would have been helpful during the hot nights. Some more hooks and shelving in the bathroom would’ve been helpful.

Excellent service, friendly staff.
Sound isolation of rooms could be better. Also, need to improve the air conditioning as it was hard to breathe at night, barely any fresh air if you close the window.

The pool was very nice though a few degrees warmer would be even better
Pool not opening until 2pm
Service in the bar and at dinner was very slow
Lack of hanging in the room and bathroom
Food was fine but nothing special
I felt compared to many other hotels in the area, value for money was poor
