Breakfast was nice and all the staff were attentive in the restaurant.
The view of my room was very disappointing.

My daughter and I stay here every summer before school starts. She won’t stay anywhere else because this is our tradition and to be fair we are never disappointed with the hotel itself. Staff are always friendly and welcoming; rooms are clean and lots of added extras in the room (only certain rooms) like crisps, chocolate, soft drinks, wine and beer (although I don’t drink but they make great little gifts!) The usual offerings of tea (lots of choices), coffee & hot chocolate are great. There’s never enough milk so I always take my own but that’s personal preference. We ordered our breakfast to the room as always (not sure if my daughter is lazy or just likes the idea of breakfast in bed!). Food came on time, everything was there and still hot which was great. It’s a shame there’s no fruit on offer that would have been good for me but she loved it! We made a request for a room near the lift which they were able to accomodate which I always appreciate although I am aware that this isn’t always guaranteed.
I would always recommend this hotel to anyone and will continue to stay here.
The only downside of our stay was the restaurant. We used to love it there when it was MPW and knew what we wanted everytime but we were quite disappointed in the food & drink we had. I had sides which came out quite overdone; especially the buttermilk chicken. The dough balls were ok but very large and a little too doughy which made them tough to eat. My daughter had a burger which she loved so that was ok.
There’s far less choice of dessert than MPW (only 2 items). This was the only downside to our stay and I think given the limited items on the menu; when we stay here next summer we’re going to have to search for somewhere else to have dinner which is a shame but the in house restaurant no longer meets our needs - but don’t get me wrong if you like burgers, shakes and pizzas you’d probably really like it.

Rooms are tired, stains on the furniture and very compact, despite having a "premium" room.
