Beautiful villas with private pools.
A delicious breakfast is delivered to the villa at a scheduled time, and everything is thoroughly cleaned afterwards. It is very clean. If you have any questions, simply speak to the host or the staff, and things are sorted out immediately. We had a fantastic stay once again. See you next time! 😁🙏

I've been coming to Bali for over 25 years and when possible, I travel here twice a year. I’ve stayed in properties costing $30 a night to properties costing $750 a night and everything in between.
This trip I'm staying in the Ellora Villas Sanur which is located off Jl Tamblingan opposite Icon.
The location is great, but then again, anything along JL Tamblingan is good. There are many places to eat and to get a massage, and if you want to do some western style shopping, the Icon is right across the road.
For me the Icon is out of place here in Sanur, and doesn't sit well or in harmony with the existing shops and businesses. Think Westfield. It's ok in Australia, but sticks out like a sore thumb here in Bali. I didn't come to Bali to shop in a Westfield type shopping centre, but if you did, there's one here for you.
As you walk through the double wooden doors to your villa, you'll find it’s generously proportioned and well appointed with a 210 litre fridge in the semi indoor/outdoor area, a three burner gas cooktop should you wish to do your own cooking, a sink, a pantry with tea, coffee and sugar, plates, crockery, glasses and cutlery, kettle, toaster, fry pan and a microwave. There's a small table with a Bluetooth (with USB) hifi system next to the chilled water dispenser which also dispenses hot water. A four piece dining table is positioned next to the kitchen, and as you walk through into the main residence, there's an L- shaped couch and coffee table. The kitchen and semi outdoor lounge are opposite a good sized pool which gets the morning and early afternoon sunshine in September.
There is also a day bed, two sun lounges and a second toilet (not common in a villa this size) and a couple of umbrellas if you're visiting in the rainy months.

Ellora was lovely. The room is a decent size but the focus is on outdoor living. The room had a full kitchen, and outdoor (under cover) eating area and an awesome private pool. I only stayed one night but will stay longer next time
The property is close to the Icon, which is good... but you have to walk down a dark alley to get to it. At night time it was a bit creepy coming back to the room

Staff were friendly and responded promptly to any queries or problems.
The mattress was way past its use-by date! My wife has back problems which were exacerbated by the mattress; I DON'T usually have back problems but did, every morning I woke up there.
Breakfast staff were great but food choice very limited. We were there for 13 nights with virtually no variation to the "menu". Apart from 1 breakfast (the day after I raised it with a staff member) strawberry jam was the only optional spread to have on toast!
