We have been staying at the Riverview for many years as we travel up to Queensland to visit our children and grandchildren. The location for us is perfect with the RSL, Tillys and the Town Centre close by and a great boardwalk to walk and see the local pelicans and other wildlife. Particularly like the part that allows you to walk through the mangroves fully protected.

The stairs can be a problem but if you use the back ones they have a wider step. We always looked forward to free breakfast in our rooms as we loved to sit on the balcony and enjoy the views or locality. Fully understand why they have ceased room service for breakfast, weight of trays and the stairs but it certainly was a luxury for us.
