I highly recommend Hotel Wunderbar Bentota for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in Bentota. The hotel offers a peaceful atmosphere, friendly service, comfortable rooms, and a great location for enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
The staff are welcoming and attentive, making guests feel comfortable throughout their stay. It’s a lovely place to unwind, enjoy good food, and experience the charm of Bentota. The rooms are very nice and clean. The food was really delicious at the restaurant. The beach was charming.
Overall, Hotel Wunderbar Bentota is a great choice for a relaxing holiday, and I would happily recommend it to friends, family, and other travelers.

Our room was lovely and comfortable and was located on the beach
The sunbed situation is bad they are mostly broken with only 4 umbrellas in use . There is a covered area but it is far back and all huddled together it’s horrible. We ended up paying to use the sunbeds in the Amal hotel next door as they had lovely beds and we ate there 4 out of 6 nights too! There is no ambience in the wunderbar restaurant and smoking is allowed which if you are a non smoker having people even at breakfast smoking is not for us. There is no smoking in the hotel restaurant next door and the food and music was so nice. You could easily change things to make it nicer wunderbar! You have lovely staff you just need a bit of TLC and a rethink . Our fridge was so old and rusty and the shower black mould which is easily removed with the right products .
