Nice room in a peaceful location. The owner and his partner were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

The size of the room was good. The location was average. The property facilities seemed good with a pool, but we arrived after the pool was closed and left before it opened.
The staff were not friendly at all. The breakfast starts at 8.30 am. Do not attempt to arrive 1 minute early even to try find out if you at the right place. And do NOT attempt to stand waiting for you food buffet style. You will be told off and ordered to go sit down. The breakfast is not worth waiting around for if you in a rush to get to Barcelona for a flight. You will be made to wait for poor quality coffee and some croissants/bread.
When making the booking I requested 2 single beds even though this was an option. This was declined. But they did say they would put an extra bed in the room for us. However, the extra bed was of a really poor quality. It was rock hard and positioned where the sun comes into the room from the bathroom (there is no blind on the bathroom window). Suffice to say that my son hardly slept.
Peniscola is a really nice place. Next time I go, I will look for a different option.
