Our three night stay at Hostal Alcazaba was fantastic. I travel for work, staying in much more expensive places, and none have rooms that are cleaner than this. The location is in one of the older parts of this historic city, within easy walking distance of restaurants, shops, museums and many cultural points of interest. As a bonus, the pub/tavern downstairs has good food and drink with excellent service!
It's nothing the hostal can do, but guests cannot drive to this location due to the nature of the historic city streets. Park at the bus station and then it is an easy 5 minute walk to the hostal.

Quiet, comfortable, AC was a huge bonus. The location was perfect for tourism and great value for the money. The hostel is also on top of a cafe so it’s also convenient to get food. One thing is that the main entrance was tricky to find since you have to enter through the bar or through the back once they give you a code.

Easy to find from both train and bus stations using GPS or map; conveniently located in center of Old Town, quiet location, easy access to building with private door code; private bath attached to room; owner is very friendly and helpful; bar/restaurant below has local character snd staff are friendly and helpful
Lighting in room is harsh, room is small with not much space to walk around the bed.
