Wonderful peaceful riverside hotel just a short train ride away from busy Kyoto. The food was so good and the whole experience. Many beautiful sites near by walking distance. Lots of riverside restaurants near by but the hotel riverside restaurant was great to enjoy without going any where. This family owned hotel was fabulous in every way. They helped us so much with our trip.
Just need some hooks in the room to hang wet raincoats on by the entrance but there may have been a place at the entrance I didn't see.

Amazing seeing on the river, the authentic rooms were really unique, great deal of hospitality from the staff they were so kind and helpful

The Ryokan is a great experience, but this one is very, very, very old. There has not been made any renovation or improvement in at least 30 years.
The food was good but very expensive!
Bad smell in the room, I got instant allergies.
The bathroom is old and the Onsen is unusable due to the fact that is looks old and rather dirty.
