What a treat to stay here! The staff was exceedingly gracious. Honestly we were more and more impressed with this ryokan the longer we stayed. You are treated like family. Meals are wonderful, both traditional Japanese and continental breakfast options. Rooms are cool and comfortable. Excellent restaurants in area, and location is very close to main train and subway station stops. Also, ryokan is across the street from a temple. The onsen was such a nice end to the day. I would come back in a heartbeat! The staff made our experience over the top. Lovely ryokan experience!
A bit of a walking distance to Gion and old town located temples (especially during summer heat). The trade off is proximity to main train station.

The staff is incredibly welcoming—always kind, friendly, and helpful. The story of the family who owns the property is truly meaningful and adds a special touch to the experience. The place is beautiful, spotless, authentic, and exceptionally well maintained. The location is also very convenient.
