The owner is very friendly and helpful. The location itself is part of the old town with an amazing 180° view showing almost the whole city, the room itself holds its authenticity from when the building was initially built, having easy access to nearby landmarks and restaurants. You can follow the amazing story of this place on the pictures and texts on the wall, like you enter a museum. The place was very clean and fully furnished with all of the needed components available, even some extras. The bed was comfortable and the whole atmosphere matched the old city vibe the city holds.
For future guests, please be aware you need to set your arrival time in advance because the owner herself welcomes you. We travelled with a bit of a delay to the town not aware of this and needed to coordinate with the owner last moment possible otherwise we would be checked in the next day (we arrived at around 8pm). Regarding parking, Placa de bous is closest BUT you need to download the parking app, use Spanish VPN and pay per hour period, we got fined for paying 7 minutes after we left the car at the parking - 80 EUR (40 EUR if you pay the next 20 days). It's spacious, had a lot of available spots, but no English sign implies what exactly are the rules there, neither when we translated the Spanish ones. The parking is not available on Mondays, they have a market day that day.

We loved our stay at Hostal La Garita! Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Our balcony had a gorgeous view of Peniscola and was very accessible to the nearby castle, shops and restaurants, and the beach. We would absolutely stay here again.
