Disgusting

Location

The owners, the staff and the place is disgusting. My whole whānau all booked 4 rooms 14 of us and i arrived before my whānau and checked all the rooms to see if they were ok before they all arrived and i made the owners re clean all the bathrooms and the window sills. The bathrooms were disgusting not even cleaned and we had a toodler and no way were we going to make our kids shower/bath in that filth until my partner and i told the owners to clean it. Mold around the showers, broken toasters, dirty fridges, dirty microwaves, no dish washing liquid, missing bowls and utensils. My whānau and i all had to share appliances between the rooms. Theres a sign saying the rooms will be services each day and put towels and stuff in the shower, nope thats a lie. My mother had to tell the staff on our 2nd/3rd day for fresh towels, toilet paper, dish washing liquid for tge empty bottles. The under sheets and the matresses themselves were so disgusting. The bond they asked for before we even stepped into the place and had a check it was for damages when there was a hole in the outside wall, kicked in door, tagging etc. The staff/owners dont car at all, reception is non existant. We had to throw our own rubbish into skip etc. Paying $2100 for that was over priced and a total rip off and i hope they get shutdown because its disgusting in terms of health and safety. Broken shower head, my brother a plumber so he fixed it. My whānau honestly just bought paper plates and plastic utensils and our own coffee/tea/water etc because we couldnt even trust the cleanliness of everything. Also the photos that are online are what it used to be but are now not even true what it is in reality. Never again.

The company needs to improve their checking in procedures. Information before you arrive be email with clear instruction

Such a good position and close to public transport through Wellington.

I knew the unit would be "basic" but I slept ok and really enjoyed the shower.

Location. Price. Comfortable bed. Great shower!

I needed extra blankets on the night. The floor hadn't been vacuum cleaned.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY!!!

The only thing remotely good about this property was the location. It was close to a main St with cafes, bars etc

Everything. It was the worst property I've ever stayed in. It is NOTHING like the photos. The '"spa bath" was tiny, filthy and the jets didn't work anyway. There was no fireplace like in the photos but we could have overlooked this, however it was also dirty, cold (no heating, we had to buy our own heater), the smell was overpowering, no staff on site, broken glass, graffiti, stairs were dangerously slippery in the wet. I hated this property.

.....DO NOT STAY HERE.....

The location was the only thing that was good about it.

.......Do not stay here......Nobody at the reception nobody would answer any of the phone calls when I was checking in. Took an hour to eventually get someone to check me in and my family. The place was very dirty rubbish still in the rooms sticky floors, dirty bathroom with broken cupboard doors dirty toilet with crap and pubic hair around the toilet seat.... The place was full of homeless people and drug addicts. Drug addict was yelling at my 11-year-old daughter with in the first 10 minutes of us being there.

Do not stay here it is gross!

The location. That is absolutely it. Book literally anywhere else.

Black mould throughout the bathroom, even after requesting to change rooms because of this, the second room also had extensive mould. Carpets were damp. Rooms smelt like something rotting. Bed sheets were stained and smelt dirty. Fridge stank and was dirty. Hot water worked intermittently. Batteries had been stolen out of our tv remote. Fan in the room did not work. Book literally anywhere else!! This place is run down and disgusting.

Room fine apart from tv and female staff member Sub standard

Everything was good for the price

No staff on arrival, had to ring. I have stayed there 4 of the last 5 years around the same dates, and payed on arrival, (booking. Com) for some reason, female staff member was pushing this never happens, she needs better people skills .Last but not least, tv aerial wasn't connected, wifi wouldn't connect to tv (poor)

Nothing the place was filthy no one on reception when rang a number of time the person on the other end of the phone was rude and not helpful We did not end up staying and was not given our money back

Clean the place up and have someone speak English as the cleaner didn’t understand us

Good other than the Windows, TV and shower room issues.

Available parking. Good spacious room. Good instructions on how to find room keys after hours.

1. Some windows had no curtains, therefore found sleeping difficult. I sleep better in a completely dark room. 2. Shower head could not point straight down but was always at an angle with water trajectory towards shower wall. 3. TV remote hard to operate. Could not find the freeview channels. Message of "No Signal" kept coming on TV screen. Room manual TV instructions seem outdated.

roof over our heads for one night before we fly out of Wellington the next morning.

accessibility, poor parking, poor customer service, offering the option of a portacot and then getting to the motel and being told they don’t offer a portacot so my 1 year old has to sleep in a single bed, room was not maintained and cleaned from the people previously in there, spa is small however the problem is that there’s hardly any hot water the hottest we could get it was luke warm.

Passable

Spa bath, friendly ataff, and a big room with lots of packing space and space to move around. Beautiful lead pressed ceiling to add to a vintage feel.

The place hasn't had a deep clean in years and it could really use one. The bedding could do with an update too. Sheets and bed were crisp and clean though. It has a lot of potential to be a great place to stay. Especially with the lovely people that work there.

Have stayed here several times, always clean, close proximity to venues BUT please repair that mat!

Location was great - so handy to what we wanted to do. Villa nicely restored.

*Reception was not available 9am to 9pm as advertised, therefore there was nowhere to store our bags while we did a city tour. *Tho we were given access to one room earlier than planned the key wouldn't open the other room until the manager arrived at 6pm. *The torn mat at entry/exit to the Lodge is a possible death trap! *Shower door took a day to repair tho I was warned about it. *One heater wouldn't work in the larger room.

No breakfast

The rooms are old and need refurbishment, shower door almost fell on me, door difficult to unlock, could not connect to internet, need extra warm bedding. The bed sheets looked clean

Room was great for location and costs.

There were young men that kept gathering outside the rooms next to the lodge. They kept coming in and out of the place on their car and was up and down all night making sure my car was okay. It was actually quite scarey as they were gathered only at night.

The room was fantastic, no issues with that and would stay again. I prob won’t though have a car parked up.

Disappointing.

It had quaint stained glass windows.

Very run down. No communication regarding check in or check out, reception manned remotely and no one answering the number on the sign for quite some time. Keys not in lockbox when finally told code. Actual cottage was up past some dodgy flats, behind the street front lodge, where a man was urinating against the wall when we arrived. It did not feel safe.

Location except for the driveway. Not good for an older person.

Poor response from house keeper. Terrible lighting in room. Heater didn’t work. Electric blanket didn’t work. Beds gave sore back
