Paradise Cove Resort

Food was the best we’ve had in Fiji including 3 different restaurants, friendly staff, best kids club we’ve had in Fiji, 2 bed villa on the beach, 2 showers and sinks in the main bathroom, big daybeds outside the villa, private sunloungers with padding outside the villa, very cool comfy giant egg chairs that fits a family of four, beanbags and daybeds by the pool in addition to the usual sunloungers, free water tap at the bar, enough tables and sunloungers for everyone, free babysitting for 4 hours each day.

Got bitten here way more than at other Fiji islands I’ve been to, ant infestation in the villa, they don’t replenish the mini bar nor water in the room each day, the conditioner wasn’t replenished unless we asked so ran out a couple of times mid shower, beach not as great as other islands, on occasion our food order was forgotten and had to wait close to an hour for food and watched other tables arrive after us get their food before us (otherwise super fast), we provided our flight details clearly in writing there and back at the time of booking to organise transfers and were booked on boats both ways that would have made it impossible to catch, on arrival we therefore had to book a hotel on the spot that was very expensive and would have been much cheaper had the resort been better at communicating and sorting the logistics (we did get a credit for the first night towards our bill at the end though), on the boat back to Nadi we stopped at Octopus Resort and they nearly put one of our bags on the transfer boat and luckily we saw and stopped them, otherwise would have lost our kid’s trunki with all their toys in, leading up to checkout we asked for the invoice and receipts and they failed to give us receipts until the last morning, and the final invoice was missing 2 days of charges and boat transfers and the 1 night credit, so given we had to catch the boat back to Nadi that morning I had to help reception redo the bill.

Well kept property. Idea of 2 restaurants ok. Pools nice though I don’t use them. Room was clean and newish, and didn’t mind sharing a toilet and shower. Toilet block very pleasant. All the Staff were friendly. Breakfast was excellent and included real coffee! Yay.

My room lacked any kind of outlook though it claims a pool view. There needs a sitting area near those rooms. Property in general needs areas to sit when rainy. Somewhere quiet perhaps. TOO NOISY FOR ME! Every area was immersed with loud music all the time except between about 10pm-6:30. It’s hard to relax with that level of noise. I’d like to listen sometime to the sea. There is really nowhere much to walk. Downside for sure.

Perfect balance of touches of luxury without being pretentious. Super lovely staff, variety of activities including snorkelling with sharks (the manta rays were shy while we were there). We had beautiful sunny days the whole time and couldn't get over the stunning ocean blues.

We did the Piper Rose catamaran option travelling between 3 resorts - it was such an amazing trip - great people, clear tropical waters for snorkelling, nice to see 3 resorts, (Paradise Cove, Blue Lagoon, Octopus). Great food - no meal plan needed!! you need to be mobile and able to transfer into/out of boats/climb stairs!! so peaceful enjoying sunsets on the boat and listening to good music. Crew and captain were excellent

getting woken up early by engines/pumps - but it is an operational boat. rooms are small, but beds are very comfortable. It helps to be flexible in expectations and open to meeting new people. It is a boat, so ensuite toilet and shower are compact!!
