I can’t fault this place, it was beautiful. We will definitely go back. Food, staff, service, rooms, everything was amazing.

A wonderful experience. So staff is so welcoming and accommodating. The food is very good and there is a lot of variety. It’s the perfect place for families. We were impressed with the kid’s club which provides activities up to 10 PM. Usually our kids don’t want to go, but here it’s more like camp at this hotel. All the kids go and the activities are fun and engaging. They made new friends and did things like camp fire dance party on the beach for the older kids. The snorkeling is right off shore and you can kayak, sail and snorkel right from the beach. We had a beach bure and the kids could wake up and play in the sand and swim right out our door. We will definitely be back and next time bring a bunch of friends.

What a beautiful spot to connect with family and enjoy the amazing Fijian hospitality. A beautiful place with enough comforts whilst maintaining a unique feel. The staff were all so welcoming, we really loved our time. My daughter tried her first kids club (4year old) and was raving out it. We do hope we'll be back soon

Warm, kind and extremely hospitable staff. Always friendly and willing to go above and beyond to meet our needs. The bure's are stunning and better than the photos. Location is very nice, lots to see on and off the island. We visited during the rainy season and didn't get too many wet days. Our children had so much fun and made lots of friends. The activites desk was phenomenal and there's so much for everyone to do. Thank you so much Castaways for making our visit spectacular, we hope to return soon.

We went through a cat 2 hurricane while in the island. A real test of the management and staff. They were superb. Really appreciate their care and the speed with which they restored service.

Great Island lovely staff really make you feel at home. We were there while the cyclone was happening and we had to be evacuated which was such a shame, would of loved to spend the week at this great island

Beautiful island and great service while on the property. Their communication beforehand could be improved. Also, would be helpful if it was more front-facing how family-oriented the resort is.

We loved everything about this property. It's so clean and homely. You feel relaxed and in island mode as soon as you step off the boat. The staff are so so friendly and lovely but very professional in their jobs as well. They truly treat you like family. The facilities are beautifully maintained from the pools to the gardens. The food is fantastic. And the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Can't say a bad thing about Castaway!

Staff all looked so happy! very friendly, they all got on with another and had fun too plus were professional, food at the 1880 was OK but the rest of the food in other restaurants were all great, even for my vegetarian wife.

Castaway Island is a warm, friendly place, kept scrupulously clean by people who genuinely care about the island. There is an abundance of activities and we never wanted for something to do. The food was delicious and varied enough to keep us interested.

The most amazing family holiday location.

We had a good time at Castaway but the overall morale and energy at the island was much lower than the other places we stayed at during our trip to Fiji.

Love, love, love Castaway Island! Truly was amazing! The water is incredible and the resort is 5 Star! The burres are very clean and comfortable for a family of 4 and the food was fresh and plentiful! We took advantage of the many water sports opportunities available right from the hotel. Kayak trip around the island is a must!

The Service on Castaway Island was second to none. All the staff went out of their way to learn our names and greet us every time they saw us. We loved the family feel of it all. We moved on to another larger, more modern resort after our stay, and we missed the warmth of the Castaway Staff.

It was my birthday, and without solid dinner plans, Aseri made sure that I got to enjoy my birthday by reserving a dinner table for us and involving staff with greeting us for the occasion. The family house we rented was beyond expectations: very comfortable with a beach view. I couldn't have asked for more! This island feels exclusive and is fantastic for snorkeling: you get to see the infamous blue starfish :)

Excellent family resort, good watersports options and snorkelling. highly recommend hand line fishing and outer reef snorkel trips.

Amazing location and lovely staff. Super relaxing, and perfect place to go with young kids.

Excellent family resort!

We came into this resort with a sickness, or food poisoning from a prior resort- I had asked the person helping us out to put us in a room that was quiet. They put us right next to the "engineering shop" where the generators are located, there was grinding and banging our entire stay. After spending our entire day cooped up in the room I had requested that we stay another night and asked for a discount which the hotel offered $100 off the $600 room and capacity was at 50%. We went to the pool that evening because it was an "adult" only pool, while it was pretty at first and quiet it quickly turned into 20 kids splashing and playing for hours. When we asked the staff to regulate they didn't want to have anything to do with it- The beach is one of the best we saw on our trip the room was nice aside from the noise and the staff in the dive school was great. However our experience with the reservation desk was sub par the food was mediocre and the hotel is riddled with children. If your traveling with children and want them to have a place to hang with other kids of all ages this resort is great, and a much better bang for your buck than treasure island. We however would only visit again for a day trip and some snorkeling.

very good place with a beach side protected from the south wind (when present) so that to enjoy the beach and the snorkeling despite the sea outside was rough. It's a place very quite and fit for families with a very good kids club with open air activities (cocunuts hunting, crab hunting, handicraft with straw, sand castle and evening walks and play on the beach - bottom glass boat trip close to the beach), my daughter loved it and a lot of kids are there anytime. Snorkeling is good even not very far from the beach (trumpet fish, stingrays, corals and reef fishes, I saw also small lobsters and a couple of baby black tip shark). The mattress was not very confortable for me becasuse it was too soft and I suffered it because of the position. Buffet could be better but with a la carte menu one week can be enjoyed. Pizza was not good at all.

Loved our time on Castaway, I searched and searched for bad reviews for this place but couldn't find any and now I know why. It's the ideal relax and unwind for families with young(ish) kids. Babysitting a plenty, kids club that's small and full of interesting activities. The staff are super friendly and make the effort to remember the children's names. The resort is small enough to feel like home but constructed in such a way that you have space and privacy when you need it.
