Rooms too close to each other. noises of the adjoining room could be clearly heard by us. Staff can be trained to be a bit more careful when fulfilling customer requests.

Park Hyatt Chennai is a perfectly good five-star business hotel: well maintained, comfortable, and with generally helpful and courteous staff.
What I found quite disconcerting, however, was my arrival experience. Two receptionists who were working together repeatedly commented that I looked tired. I acknowledged that I was, in fact, tired, but explained that as a guest at a five-star property, I really don’t expect reception staff to comment on my appearance in this way. I found it unnecessarily personal and, quite frankly, rude.
What was more surprising was that they continued making the same observation even after I explained why I found it inappropriate. Whether this was a cultural difference or simply a lack of common sense, I’ll leave for others to decide. Either way, it was an odd and rather uncomfortable way to welcome a guest.
