Good breakfast. The employee who welcomed us was charming and really helpful and cooked a nice breakfast.
The owner of the establishment was unflexible and made us pay a night tax for a night we we hadn't arrive yet.

The place is perfectly located and it's good value for money comparing to other places in the area.
The facilities are nothing special, but fine, warm even in winter and well maintained.
Special thanks to the staff!
Some facilities are outdated and private rooms are not cheap.
But this is something you find everywhere in Marrakech

Location of Jennah Rouge (not Layla as we had booked) where we were put up was great, nice and easy walk to Koutoubia and Djema el Fnaa. Personel friendly, quite an extensive breakfast for this price. The roofterrace was a nice place to spend the afternoon. Nice colourfull decor, comparable to Layla Rouge. Apparently it is a kind of hostel group eith the same owner. Tea served as a welcome was nice touch.
Taxi with sign Layla Rouge took us to Jennah Rouge, first night we were put in a “private house” claiming a booking.com problem. It was sold a great opportunity, however the bed slept as if we were on a table, light was only lightbulbs, toilet was in a timy corner of the
bath”room” underneath the stairs, drain had no cover, we did not want to shower there. Terrible experience.
Next day we transferred to Riad Jennah Rouge private rooms three doors down the alley. Beds were lumpy and sagging, light was inadequate (this time very dark) The room under the roof was noisy when people went up there over the stairs late at night or early in the morning for sunrise, with earplugs it was doable. Doorhandle to the toilet was broken and laying in the windowsill. We had to repair the showerhead and the hose before we could use it.
When we wanted to pay with a creditcard we were told the machine did not work and asked to pay cash, however when we refused the machine did work the next day. If you’re looking for a hostelbed it is a good place, if you’re looking for a hotelroom you could do
better.
