Great location within walking distance of local restaurants and shops and close to the vernacular railway for an easy ride down to Lynmouth

Breakfast was excellent food was cooked well and accommodated my wife with the choice of gluten free. Phil and Ness were wonderful hosts exceptional service.

The hosts were really lovely and very helpful. The sitting room and bar were beautifully decorated rooms to sit and relax in. The bar having a lovely view and a big sofa to curl up in. The dining room was also light and airy. The food was perfect; beautifully and freshly cooked (unless plant-based then it was limited)
The room was a disappointing due to being in the eaves with the beams restricting ease of movement around the room. The floor measurement online seemed adequate and the beams were included in the pictures online. However it wasn't clear just how restricted it would be.
The bedroom was on the cool side but we were given a small heater which we used.
The ensuite was also limited although as described, however was incredibly cold despite the heater being on in the bedroom. To get to the additional bathroom where we could stand up to shower was a great but the short walk to an 'ensuite' across the shared landing not ideal. Especially taking the cost of our stay into consideration.
With regard to food - plant based options were limited although provided.
