Ness and Phil are the perfect hosts. The welcome is warm, the room was very comfortable and the wide choice of breakfasts are delicious. We'll be going back. Ten out of ten.

everything couldn't fault it.Hosts Phil and Ness make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive.Room spotlessly clean.Comfiest bed 😴 Gorgeous view from our bedroom (room 2) .The usual tea coffee etc in room along with bottles of water and a chocolate. 😃Actually provided bathrobes which is a lovely treat .The guest lounge downstairs is a stunning room which adjoins a room with a bar for an evening drink if required.We couldn't fault this gem of a place to stay ,loved it and highly recommend a stay here

The guest house is a little dated decor wise but it added to the charm and evoked memories of holidays in the 70s. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we had number 1 was large and well appointed with 2 chairs and plenty of storage space. The bed was comfy and the shower was really good which is never guaranteed when travelling. The breakfast was superb, you chose what you wanted the night before and top ups of drinks, toast etc we're always offered. We didn't use the lounge or bar but they looked very comfy and if the weather had been bad im sure we would have used them. Reading through the guest book on departure it seems that all the guests loved the place too.
Nothing negative to say, it was all lovely. If you're looking for an upmarket boutique hotel then this isn't for you but if you want personal great customer service and a comfortable environment then its perfect.

The hosts were really lovely and very helpful. The sitting room and bar were beautifully decorated rooms to sit and relax in. The bar having a lovely view and a big sofa to curl up in. The dining room was also light and airy. The food was perfect; beautifully and freshly cooked (unless plant-based then it was limited)
The room was a disappointing due to being in the eaves with the beams restricting ease of movement around the room. The floor measurement online seemed adequate and the beams were included in the pictures online. However it wasn't clear just how restricted it would be.
The bedroom was on the cool side but we were given a small heater which we used.
The ensuite was also limited although as described, however was incredibly cold despite the heater being on in the bedroom. To get to the additional bathroom where we could stand up to shower was a great but the short walk to an 'ensuite' across the shared landing not ideal. Especially taking the cost of our stay into consideration.
With regard to food - plant based options were limited although provided.
