Nightcap at Colyton Hotel

Location was great and handy having a bistro on site.

The airconditioner wouldn't go below 24 degrees and it made our room so hot.

love the parking area as its a safe area to keep the dogs in my Dog trailer. Plenty of room to park a car & trailer. Love the meals at the Pub. love the rooms are clean and very comfortable.

someone next to us arrived at 2am and making alot of noise for over an hour which also upset the dogs.

Location was handy.

The sheets looked like they weren’t changed. The room smelled musty.

Unfortunately we had lots of neighbouring guests very loudly partying. Reading reviews I thought security would be doing regular checks and sort the issue, but unfortunately no checks were done. It was very loud, doors slamming as they went room to room, extremely intoxicated people, fighting and swearing etc. As a female on my own with a young daughter, I was scared to call reception to address this because I knew they’d know it had come from me, and was fearful of retaliation as they had seen us enter our room from our car. The noise didn’t stop until 4am. I’m used to a bit of noise, and the noise from the pub was absolutely fine, but this was full music blasting and partying . Not the hotels fault tag other guests were inconsiderate, but the fact the hotel didn’t have any regular checks (or to be honest, the fact staff didn’t even heat the commotion) is a bit upsetting especially given their advertisement it’s a family friendly location to stay.
