The reserve is in s natural setting and idis a peaceful.. The ttees and birds are soothing to the soul. The staff is helpful and warm.

Hacienda Jimenita offers peace and serenity just minutes from the airport and 40 minutes from the historic center. From the moment you arrive, the staff makes you feel at home; they are very attentive and always willing to help. On the property, you can stroll along trails while observing the landscape with its birds and llamas. You can also enjoy several viewpoints, a good game of billiards, or simply revel in the tranquility and the breeze in the various spaces of the hacienda. It's worth mentioning that it's a great base for visiting Papallacta, Antisana National Park, and other destinations.

Decent location close to the basilica.
Worst breakfast I had in Eucador. Coffee was bitter. Eggs and ham had a metallic aftertaste. Cheap margarine instead of butter with your toast.
Rooms face an inner courtyard so you can hear all the noises echoing. Entrance to the hotel is through a souvenir shop.
Was really surprised that it was rated so highly. Staff weren’t very helpful. They offered day trips at twice the cost of what I saw offered just down the street.
Signs posted everywhere telling what was prohibited. I realize some people with poor behavior can ruin it for others - but there was not a welcoming atmosphere.
