We had a room which was the only one on that floor and a long stretched balcony which gave us lots of space and freedom to sit and chat in the evening. The room was nicely designed and the hosts have been incredibly friendly. Super close to the mini city, but you need to be up for some stairs
The shower is a bit small and it was a little fight with the shower curtain (like always with shower curtains tbh)

Staff was generally nice, and the location was wonderfully convenient to the Port.
We arrived late afternoon, Our room had a great view, but was western facing. Upon arrival, it was 33 degrees Celsius in the room. The desk agent said the only way to cool it off was to leave the key in the slot, as the A/C doesn't function with out it. We asked if we could borrow an extra key to cool the room off at least a bit while at dinner. We were told "no." It was OPPRESSIVELY hot and once we arrived back, the A/C functioned at only a low level. It took many hours to cool the room down, resulting in difficulty getting to sleep. This should have been such an easy fix. The property knew our anticipated arrival time and could easily have made the room reasonably comfortable in advance.
I was surprised, as Kastro gets mostly very good reviews on this site, and I respect the nice follow-up notes they post to these reviews. But an an excessively hot day, their attitude about this was lousy/indifferent. I stay in hotels >125 days each year, and especially if a property knows your anticipated arrival time, if it takes spending a Euro or two to make the room comfortable, it beats the first impression of the room being awful. Unfortunately, that was our lasting impression.
