Could have been much better

Silverfish in the room; the ridge down the middle of the bed; TV mounted at the foot of the bed; small available space on ‘table’ top; Upon arrival, the building was difficult to find at night due to poor signage; when it rained, the drain pipe seemed to be in the wall, hence water trickling for long periods; paper-thin walls

In Ordnung, sauber.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, und das Zimmer sauber. Ausgestattet mit dem Nötigsten. Highlight war die kostenlose Poolnutzung!

Die Abzugshaube ging die ganze Nacht.

Top locatie dat wel...

Het ontbijt was uitgebreid en goed. De ontbijtruimte had de sfeer van een kantine van een legeronderdeel

Het hotel is zeer slecht te vinden, met name als het donker is. De receptie bevind zich op de 12de etage, de kamer op enkele verdiepingen lager, de ontbijt ruimte nog lager. De liften zijn langzaam. Het personeel is minder vriendelijk, tegen het stugge aan.

Too much money for very little value

Access to public transport

I wish to categorically state here that Fletcher Hotel is advertising as Fletcher 'Wellness" on Booking.com which is WRONG. Upon arrival, the name is just "Fletcher", red flag. Hotel Guests do NOT have free access to the wellness facility. There's no gym & you need to pay extra costs to use a "Wellness" facility, the Blu Center that seemingly belongs to another business. The costs are not obvious at booking.com. A well traveled person expects a 4 star " Wellness" hotel to have free of charge access to the facilities which they do NOT have for free. Just the swimming pools are free 1.5hrs a day only, 8 to 9:30AM mornings Very disappointing is the hygiene. I learned that beddings could only be replaced upon approval from managers. It took 2 levels of approval to get this done. What a joke ! My assessment from my extensive travels is, Fletcher at an international level befits a 2 or 3 Stars maximum hotel.

Zum übernachten bei einem kurzen Aufenthalt ist das Hotel in Ordnung. Wir haben es als Ausgangspunkt

Das Zimmer war gut und groß. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Größe des Zimmers war für drei Personen sehr gut bemessen.

Das Frühstück war leider für die Hotelkategorie unterdurchschnittlich. Die Aussicht auf das Krankenhausdach war nicht die beste. Bedauerlicherweise gab es keine richtige Tür für die Toilette, was bei einem Dreibett Zimmer nicht gerade für Privatsphäre sorgte.

Good rooms and location

I liked the location. I also really liked my room itself - it was laid out well, spacious and I was happy with the air conditioning and refrigerator

I didn’t like that it was difficult to get to my room (had to go up and down floors to get to its location in the correct tower). I also didn’t like that I had to go up to the 12th floor to check out after going to the 5th for breakfast and then not being able to do remote check in. The breakfast itself wasn’t as nice as by other Fletcher hotels. It felt like I was eating at a school cafeteria. Finally I thought it was disappointing that the swimming pool could only be used until 9 am in the morning and that there was no other fitness facilities available when the wellness center opened.

Great hotel and excellent value with a superb location

We were a bit dubious after seeing some of the reviews online, but we found this hotel to be really good. Our room was modern and clean, the bathroom was really good with a powerful hot shower. The train station is behind the hotel, yet we didn't hear any noise at all; the soundproofing was so good. The secure parking for our bicycles was free and easily accessible. It's location is great for Leiden centre which is within easy walking distance and the views from our room over the skyline of Leiden were fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

Bed too soft with just the mattress top.bathroom sink old and worn. Difficult to find hotel..situated outside train station in a business building with no clear signs nor directions how to locate. Small listing on outside and inside. No fridge or water

Superb

Perfect location, right in the city center. The bedroom was big and clean and the beds were comfortable. It is really thoughtful to have a coffee machine in the bedroom.

This is a Wellness Center, but no one explained how could the costumers have access to use it or if there was any special price for costumers. Communication through booking was also not perfect.

I wanted to upgrade but couldnt get one stel

My room was located opposite of the rooms for the working staff. Day and evening. Above my room there probably was also something because i heard bangs and furniture or equipment slamming to the floor.

Comfortable stay, great location, expensive compared to other hotels I had stayed in. A little bit soulless but typical

Enormous modern room with a great view of the city. Big powerful shower. Large comfortable bed with end of bed TV. Fridge in the room with tea and coffee making facilities. Good Wi-Fi throughout. Use of the indoor infinity style swimming pool up to 0930hrs which has an amazing panoramic view of the city from the 12th floor. After 09.30 hrs you would need to buy a spa day ticket and have to swim in your birthday suit. Next door to Leiden Central railway and bus station ( don’t worry you can’t hear the trains in the rooms!) and walking distance to shops and cafes.

The hotel is situated inside a large conference building facility with offices and shops. To get to reception you get the lift to 12th floor. Depending on what room and floor you are on you may need to take two elevators and a several long walks to your room.

It is not clearly marked and no sign on the building with the hotel name. the main entrance was broken and a different type of door was placed giving the impression that the building is not working. the room needs renovation.

One night in Leiden

second time we came here because we just really like it. location is great when you travel by train, pool is very nice and rooms are nice and spacious.

only thing that has not been going well during both stays is room service. last time the app didn’t work and I ended up having to call reception (who didn’t pick up for 20min) to work something out. this time the app worked, the order was confirmed but after waiting for over an hour for just tea we decided to just leave it and go to sleep.

Not worth it

Location

The service, they didnt have pillows or towels to give it to us. We went for the spa and they didnt have bathropes for us and the spa is swimsuits free, they gave us only one small towel to cover us, and said to take the other one from our room! Also is difficult to find the hotel and the lift is annoy. The reception too crowded all the time. For smokers is also not good, cause you need to go outside and the door close behind you, so you need to enter by the parking, call the hotel and wait for them to open you the door. Definitely we are not going to come back.

Perfect location. Right beside the central station. Friendly staff at the reception. Smooth check out. Nicely designed hallways.

Room not worth the price the price at all (in our subjective view). No minibar/ mini-fridge. Shower facilities (soap) not adequate. Long check in process. Extremely long waiting time when dining and visibly understaffed and stressed out employees (worth mentioning every employee did their best and was friendly and helpful).

good location, good facilities, quite clean, just needs some service improvements

great location, lovely view, good soundproofing, nice coffee in the room, room was of a good standard

facilities were a bit worn, bathroom is layout is silly, no soaps/shower gels even when we asked, they didn’t clean the room when we asked them to, check in/out experience was not good (needs a dedicated spa check in and one for hotel or a key drop - there ended up being a 20+ minute wait)

service was very slow. waiter dropped a tray of drinks over 2 of the 3 party. also another waitress mixed up one of the starters for a coffee! charged twice for breakfast for 1 of us but after asking the receptionist to check it was refunded.
