Not a huge hotel but feels like an extended home option. Close to everything.
This may sound odd, but the breakfast is quite a lot of food. Too much, so we used everything we didn’t eat for our lunch. So, actually we liked that very much!

Imaginatively designed with very comfortable rooms and bathrooms, as well as lovely friendly staff on hand too. Great location - just a few minutes walk from the station and just strolling around, so we could explore everywhere on foot at our own pace. The breakfast spread was incredible as was the added bonus of the little cafetiere/restaurant where we had lunch one day and afternoon tea the next. Hope to return one day!

The building and our room were lovely. Breakfast was fantastic, if pricy. The history of the building was well described in a brochure and very interesting. Location to see Utrecht and find meals was excellent, right next to the remaining medieval gate.
Cleaning service was very peculiar. I was told I could have a voucher for some wine instead of cleaning, which I initially accepted. My 92-year-old mother had an accident overnight and I handed back the voucher to request cleaning instead. They said they would have the room cleaned. I came back after seeing her off on her flight to find the soiled sheets bundled in a corner of the bathroom and her bed left unmade. The bathroom was not cleaned. The staff did not know she wasn't returning with me. When I told the staff what happened, someone came to collect the soiled sheets and left again with no other efforts or apologies. There was no offset on the bill either. It was strange. I'm not sure I would return although the property was very attractive.
