Our three-night retreat at WakaGangga was a symphony of natural beauty and tranquility. The only aspect that fell short of our expectations was the restaurant. With a limited menu and portions, it didn't quite match the expansive spirit of the resort. Fortunately, a nearby alternative provided the culinary richness we desired.

They maintain the villa well. Clean, big and luxurious room. Loved the resort amenities very much, especially the toiletries! They provide natural products with high quality. Definitely Top-Notch customer service. The reception, housekeeping, restaurant staffs, basically everyone are friendly, attentive and professional. Highly recommended.
They could provide more lounging areas nearby the beach and/or pool.

Our villa was beautiful, so close to the beach we could hear the ocean from our bed. Staff exceptionally friendly, but most do not speak english. Reception staff have to learn english, as communication was difficult & missunderstandings occur.
Near by temple's blasting songs / talking over & over well up to 10.30pm every night. The restaurant serves sub par food. Due to there location, if you don't have transport, you are forced to either eat at the restaurant or at Cliffhanger Restaurant who only serve western style food. (respectable quality) The beach is poluted, both water & the locals (spot the tourist so far north) don't respect there beautiful beach & leave there trash everywhere.

Classic friendly Balinese hospitality. Everyone was helpful, kind, and wonderful.
Yes, outside there are bugs, Mozzies, little spiders, and lizards. Bali is a tropical island, and the balinese live in harmony with these little creatures. It is not a good reason for poor reviews, so please dont let those reviews colour your opinion. If you keep your door closed, then the bugs don't come inside 🥰
The restaurant has 6 or 7 different menus that span over the day, brekkie, brunch, lunch, tapas, vego, dinner, kids. I ate something amazing and delicious and different every meal at the resort. Eating in the restaurant was something else. I could have sat there forever, staring at the ocean.
The villas are very well temperature controlled. They are only slightly dated as they use traditional wood doors and furniture. When living in a humid environment, it is very normal for wood to swell with the humidity, so a firm tug on a draw may be required, but this does not deflect from the paradise you will find yourself in.
Wifi can come and go a little bit. However, if you have decided to work at this resort instead of turning off and relaxing, there is a business centre with very strong wifi.
The spa is wonderful. I suggest going down, meeting the ladies, and discussing the best service for you. They are friendly and want to give you the best service. The pricing is very, very good.
The turnaround time and customer service were next level. Quick responses to my messages. My check-in and check-out experience were superior. And I left and arrived at very inconvenient times. I was still provided with warm hospitality.
Waka is 45 mins in good traffic from the airport. But it's worth it. You are out of the hustle and bustle, and you fall asleep to the sound of waves. It is not terribly isolated, canggu is 15 mins away.

Very relaxing, lovely view of the sea. The breakfast was very good. It was excellent value for money, 5 star without the price tag. The room was beautiful, especially the bathroom. The lunch was also yummy.
We booked a sea view room but could barely see it from the corner of our room. But just a little walk to the main pool and restaurant it was a beautiful view.

Most of the staff was very friendly even more so the restaurant staff. The place is really nice and quiet. The rooms are great and the pool really nice.
The breakfast is beyond anything I had seen in Bali so far.
The walk one the beach is agreable as there is no one.

The beach is a dangerous one to swim as even one of the staff member came out to tell me that the hotel forbids his clients to "touch the water"...
The beach is dirty as it's not one of the touristy one that people clean for the tourists.
The restaurant has very good vegetarian/vegan options but it's not on the usual menu... I discovered it on the 5th evening!
I didn't see any board games as advertised.
Every time we tried to book for a massage the person at the reception told us that he would check then contacted us for with an imposed schedule and when we checked with the masseuse she was plenty available...
The metal shards in the swimming pool... For 2 days we complained before it was sufficiently cleaned... I understand accident happens but react accordingly please...

From the smiling welcome every morning, to the careful attention to our vegan dietary requirements the WakaGangga staff did everything to make our Christmas break (20-27 December) feel tailored and memorable. Beautifully maintained rooms, facilities and surroundings cleaned regularly throughout the day. Incredible and reasonably-priced options with lots of variety at their in-house restaurant meant we did not get bored once. Highly recommend the vegetarian Nasi Goreng for breakfast! The free shuttle to nearby landmarks was a real bonus since the location is quite a distance from anything else. There are a few bars and restaurants down the beach worth checking out too! The Christmas Dinner with live gamelan music was such a highlight for us and so thoughtful considering Christmas isn't really celebrated on the island. Absolute bliss from start to finish, even with the biblical rain on a few occasions. Thank you to the whole team, we genuinely didn't want to leave!
Possibly not in the remit of the hotel but the surrounding beach is in a bit of a sorry state in terms of litter / cleanliness. You definitely wouldn't want to come here for a beach holiday. Still, hearing the waves crashing adds to serene atmosphere along with the sounds of the other local wildlife. Wouldn't give up the location for anything!

Quiet area of Bali, perfect for few restful days. The villa is of good size, just nice for my family of 4. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food at the restaurant is great, offering both local and western cuisine.
The wifi keeps dropping off, needing to reconnect quite frequently. The property can be better maintained, like the electrical wall sockets that have become loose, some doors not closing properly, etc.

The villas are pretty and staffs are very friendly. Bed is comfortable.
The villa I stayed at the first three nights was with formaldehyde smells due to current maintenance. The pool was very dirty I think it need to be cleaned before our moving in, the staffs tried to clean it but we still not able to use it on the third day. The staffs are very friendly, the manager is super friendly and good he helped us to move to the other single room villas on our last two days and they were very nice and clean. I am happy with the attitude to handle the problem, they offered me one day free shuttle and pick up and drop to airport. It's just a little pity that I talk a long trip to here in Christmas but waist the spa time due to pool problem. I wish you guys can check the property nicely before clients coming, you must clean the bed curtains, it made us uncomfortable as it's disgusting. I wish my feedback here can help you to improve your service in future.

It's a beautiful place in a remote area so it is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. The staff was exceptionally helpful and kind and I loved that the room was cleaned everyday. All of my requests have been addressed in no time and with kindness. The transfer to Canggu is also convenient and I used it multiple times. The rooms are very spacious and villas are extremely private so you will not even know there are other guests. The spa offers variety of treatments. I would highly recommend staying in WakaGangga to everyone.
The equipmemt in the gym could be improved and I would appreciate if the room was more spacious - the gym was one of the criteria that played a big role when I decided which accommodation in Bali to book but I ended up using the gym just once because there was barely any functional equipment there. The location of the resort can be both an advantage and disadvantage. I was travelling around the island a lot and every company charged me extra because the resort is located too far for most tour operators. For short or one way trips i recommed using Gojek app. However those are still minor deficiencies which did not impact my great experience in WakaGangga.

defenately 5 star feeling, villas are amazing, long beach to walk, kind staff, good food, quiet, nice village near by. Property was very well taken care, everywhere very clean and beautifull.

Such a beautiful location away from the hustle and bustle of cities such as Seminyak, Ubud and Legian. The villas are very well designed and very comfortable.

3. No assistance to help carry luggage during check out despite several reminders. Help arrived after I’ve reached lobby.
4. Wi-Fi not strong. Frequent disconnections.
5. Lots of mosquitoes-advisable to bring own repellents
In my opinion, the staff focus more on “arrival & during stay” to ensure guests are happy but they don’t bother much when you’re checking out. This shows that they are not doing “coming back to WG” to retain guest happiness and satisfaction. To turn, “fuh! Finally another guest checking out”
Review points are much deducted on the check out day and for airport transfer handling. No matter how hard you did good for your guests, if you didn’t handle the process well (from checking in till checking out), you don’t deserve high points.
Note: there’s no grab car services to/fr this hotel. Only way is to use their taxi services, which is more expensive but luckily their drivers are okay.
