I am more than happy to give this property the highest possible rating — despite not actually spending a single night there.
We had booked accommodation for five people for two nights. Upon arrival, the owner/manager personally showed us the rooms. They would have been perfectly suitable for a family with children of different ages, but she immediately recognised that the arrangement would not be particularly comfortable for five fully grown men.
What happened next deserves genuine appreciation. Rather than simply insisting that the accommodation matched the booking, she was completely open and honest about the situation. She offered to cancel our reservation without any penalty and, remarkably, even took the time to guide us towards finding suitable alternative accommodation nearby.
She could easily have taken our money and left us to make the best of it. Instead, she put the comfort and interests of her guests ahead of the booking.
That, to me, is hospitality at its very best: honesty, transparency, fairness and genuine concern for the guest.
We may not have stayed here this time, but the way we were treated left a stronger impression than many places where we actually have stayed.

We had a very nice few days at Chez Habitant. The accommodation is clean, our room was cleaned every day. There is good pressure in the shower and the breakfast is simple traditional and delicious, which we could also have on the terrace. Absolutely beautiful view and friendly staff.The location was great for us, as we both love walking.

The breakfast was marvellous on a terrace with fresh products everyday. The property was within walking distance to everything and in a perfect location. The air conditioning worked and the room was cool when outside it was very hot. The immediate neighbourhood was quiet. Would certainly recommend!

The towels, the rooftop, the location.
Hotch potch of old, awkward, mismatched furniture - squeaky doors, no hangers, bedding that doesn't fit...can't check in until 3, which is unpleasant.
