The staff was very friendly and breakfast was excellent, served on a rooftop terrace with a great view. The social areas and artwork were excellent. The location was also excellent, within easy walking distance of the Kasbah, but tucked away from the crowds and street noise.
The rooms were very small and there wasn't much privacy. The shower was awkwardly installed in between the toilet and sink and was difficult to use. Stairs were unevenly sized and difficult to climb and there were areas where I had to bend down to get through. There was loud noise due to construction during the day and what sounded like furniture being moved could be heard at night.

The staff were attentive, helpful and always available when needed. The hotel has a beautiful and interesting design, lovely facilities, and a fantastic view from the rooftop. The breakfast was also excellent.
We booked a private day trip to Chefchaouen and Tetouan through the hotel, and it was great value for money. The trip was wonderful, and our driver was professional, friendly and pleasant throughout the day.
There was no waste bin in the room (only a small one in the bathroom, and the bed was very hard. There was also only one thin, firm pillow per person, although the staff provided us with extra pillows when asked.
The room was advertised as a “room with city view”, which was misleading. There were not actually any windows you could look out of, so there was no city view from the room. I would strongly recommend changing the room description so that future guests know what to expect.
