Nice hotel. Great location and easily walkable from the ferry terminal even if up a few stairs. The staff were lovely. The breakfast was good and the evening meal in the restaurant, which had a great view of the port, was nice although a bit pricey for what it was. The room was very comfortable. Would recommend and stay there again.

I felt really welcome at Mamora Bay. The pricing is very reasonable, the staff is very helpful and the rooftop restaurant has good food and great views. Also, the ferry to Spain and most sights are within walking distance. Would be happy to stay there again, if I return to Tangier.

Staying for two weeks at the Mamora Bay made my trip to Tangier and surrounding cities a more memorable experience. While this is not a luxury hotel, it feels more like home. The staff's friendliness and helpful attitude provided me with a very welcoming feeling (I want to particularly recognize the help provided by Othman as well as all of the Front Desk staff). The hotel's location just at the entrance to the medina also made it very convenient to walk to all of the old city's main historical sites, as well as provided an amazing amount of shopping, restaurant and cafe options within steps of the hotel's door. In terms of the rooms, mine was basic but had all the necessary comforts, including a mini fridge and flat screen TV. I was fortunate that my room (103) even had a terrace. The only major drawback that should be noted is that this property is that I would not recommend this property to anyone with disabilities since there is no elevator and there are also many steps that need to be climbed from the street to the hotel. Something they should consider improving is installing safe deposit boxes in each room to provide guests with greater peace of mind since there is no place to leave valuables, though i had no problems while there. I hope to return to Tangier and will be booking my stay at the Mamora Bay again.

I travel all over the world and try to save money while still enjoying comfort. This was one of the nice economic places i have ever stayed. The view, the staff, the free breakfast, the room. All excellent. When I go back to Morraco I will stay here again.

The location, right in the old city and with a view out over the port, is wonderful. However, the beds were *incredibly* uncomfortable--they were so hard that I literally checked under the sheets to make sure they were on mattresses and not just foam pads.

Great little hotel in the heart of the Kasbah. Easily walking distance to almost anything you want to see or do or try, and access to transportation to further away treasures like Cap Spartel or Gibraltar. The staff are very helpful and accomodating, and the rooms, indeed the hotel itself, are lovely. Definitely recommended as a place to stay in Tangier!

Outdoor areas on the photos insinuate they are public, but they are only for 2 rooms. Got a dark alley room, especially hard after specifically requesting a bit of a view, all while the hotel seemed empty. Breakfast area is great and room was clean.

It is a good budget friendly property to live but you might be surprised of the frequency of call of prayers that happens throughout the day because a mosque is very close to the hotel. It is pretty clean and service is good too.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The cafe staff was also really generous and friendly. The first day we checked in we were offered tea and chocolate! Then we traveled for two days and came back for another night but they didn’t give us tea or chocolate! Oh well, it was still very nice!

Staff was very friendly but the room was not that comfortable. I was not able to shower the next day due to the lack of hot water. Good location from the port which that was the reason I decided to stay one night there.

The hotel was lovely, and right at the bottom of the stairs was a very good restaurant and the entrance to the medina. You also had a lovely view of the water from the breakfast area in the hotel and from many of the restaurants near the hotel.

Great place and location. Many shopping and dining options in the area. Breakfast was also a big plus. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They helped us arrange a private walking tour of Fes that was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. We'd definitely stay here again.

The staff, Ismail and Othman were very helpful. If they didn’t know the answer they found out for us. The 2 manager were very helpful. They got us a guide and also 2 taxi drivers to take us on a few day excursions. Property was situated perfectly for us. Right across from the port and in the middle Medina.

The hotel located in a great area with couple of minutes of walking to restaurants, shopping and stores. The Staffs are amazing, very clean room and bathroom. The breakfast area also have amazing view of the surrounding and great service. On my last day, I asked for a taxi to take me to the airport at 2:30 am and someone carrying my bag walked me to the taxi.

This is a great hotel in the main area of interest. The staff are friendly and efficient and the breakfast were good too. The room was spacious and clean with fresh fruit and a bottle of water on arrival. Bedside lamps and a kettle with tea and coffee would be great enhancements. The mosqu next door has an ear splitting reveille at 0430... So be ready to close the windows!

This Mamora Hotel is a gem in the middle of the old city of Tangier. I got there really early in the morning (8:30a, well before check-in time of 2pm, and Zakaria, the front desk manager who was doing overnight, offered my breakfast (as his guest), while i was waiting for the room to be ready. Absolutely amazing Magrebi Arabic hospitality! The hotel's location is absolutely superb. Its right adjacent to the lively traditional souk/market, 5 minutes walk from the port of Tangier, where you can buy tickets for and board the City Tour hop-on-hop-off double decker bus (a must do, especially the 2 hour tour), and also easy to walk to the Ferry terminal to take the ferry to Tarifa, Spain. Best stay ever, and will definitely come again.

Bad: starting with the stuffy hall smell, the mattress reeked if urine. I pulled the bed covers and there was what appeared to be male ejaculation crusty and all. Mold on the shower curtain. Roaches in the dinning. Good: location (but you have to take stairs or steep climb) customers service was good.

In the heart of the Medina and close to the main square of the old city. Also walkable to the port.the front desk and staff very welcoming. With a hot Moroccan mint tea and traditional sweets. You get the real feel of the old town. A good Moroccan breakfast included in the morning. Facility with AC and clean rooms. The only down side is in the morning once the guest start waking up. You can hear the noise of stirs and luggage being dragged starting at 7am. So you can’t sleep beyond 7am even on a Sunday!. Greta view of the port and the old town from 3rd floor where they serve food.
