I had an excellent experience at Hostal Los Andes. The host was extremely helpful. I called when I first got in from the bus station and asked if the place had an elevator, which it did. The host offered to call me a cab, but I was able to walk because the distance was very close. The host helped met me downstairs, helped me with my bags, and gave a tour. The room was very comfortable. It had a shared bathroom and was at a lower price point because of this, which was fine with me. I still had a sink in my room, which was lovely. The location is perfect - 5-10 minute walk from Moncloa, and within a block from any shopping you need. I appreciate the stay and hospitality!

The accommodation is extraordinarily clean. For the price and location to the metro it is fantastic value for money if you want a nice old bed (a little creaky) and great water pressure in a shared bathroom - I did not see anyone from the other 2 occupied rooms sharing the bathroom. The only toiletries were small soap bars, no hairdryer, but I didn’t ask either. These can be negatives for people but I like the basic minimalism when I travel and when in Madrid you’re only in your room to sleep and to shower. The owner is a beautiful man - we had no common language but he was extremely friendly and very kind. I would stay here again. It is seconds away from the arguelles metro and walking distance if you want a stroll to the palace and continue on to Sol and Plaza Mayor for a longer walk.

Very clean and bright room, well isolated. I could sleep very well. The area where the hostal is situated is charming and only two stops from the center. I booked the last single room with shared bathroom and it was lovely. The bathroom was always free. I would definitely return.

Lovely staff

The room was very comfortable, all that one needs for a night in Madrid. The furniture is quite convenient in that there are lots of space to organise your stuff. The man at the reception was lovely!

It was slightly overpriced in terms of value for money, but I imagine it has to do with the current state of affairs and subsequent impact on the economy.

Nothing, everything was well. I just did not have a hairdryer in my single room but probably if I would ask, staff would bring it.
