The staff is great! Specifically Andrea, who checked me in, gave me a map with things to do, gave me good recommendations, and was really friendly. Everyday they organise something to bring people together which is also really nice. The location was good (near the centre, some bars in the area but no excessive noise) and the hostel was as described

Perfect stay, great and helpful staff, lots of tips and information available. They also do lot of activities and dinners so it’s easy to socialize. Rooms were good too, comfy. Best hostel to stay in Madrid, definitely recommand.

The room had an air conditioner
Smoking is allowed in the outdoor common area, and the smell drifts into the indoor kitchen and all the way up the stairs to the rooms. If you’re sensitive to cigarette smoke, I’d avoid this place. On top of that, I had to wait over 30 minutes to check in, even though I arrived well after 3pm. Poor first impression and an unpleasant environment overall
