The hotel is beautiful, with a welcoming lobby and multiple pool areas. Even with a family of four, including two teenagers, the rooms didn’t feel cramped. A nice touch was the ice and water on every floor. The hotel also sent helpful text messages announcing events throughout the week.

Check-in was a blur. I’ve had more assistance at a cheaper one-night stay hotel. I did upgrade to a beautiful room, but the additional resort charge wasn’t disclosed. The resort charge was exorbitant. Besides the pools, I’m not sure what it covered or offered to our family. We parked in the self-parking lot, which was a bit of a mess the first time. The signage directing us to our rooms was terrible. Finally, we found a hotel staff member who showed us the way and asked if we had been informed about the shuttle service from self-parking. I never saw the shuttle service during our entire trip. The pool area was nice, but it couldn’t handle the hotel’s capacity during our stay. We often had to search for empty chairs. Drinks at the pool bar were extremely overpriced. I got a pina colada and couldn’t believe the cost. You can buy a whole bottle of the rum they use for the price of a single drink. Over the six-night stay, our room wasn’t cleaned multiple times. We had to call and request clean towels and toilet paper. The in-room fridge wasn’t powerful enough to keep our drinks cold.

The resort was beautiful and faced the ocean with the rain forest in the back. One of the most beautiful places we have been. The pictures do not do it justice. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The restaurants were accommodating. The pools were great for children. The grounds were so well taken care of. I highly recommend.

Cheap hotel charging high price for the use of the tennis court, removing the beach chairs at 4:30pm, in dining service taking 1 hour dur to short staff, pool closing at 6pm, etc.
