Amazing hosts. Really welcoming and helpful WhatsApp group. If you want to dive into Seoul life especially as a solo traveller, this is the guesthouse to choose! Also great for transport, especially to/from Incheon

Second time staying at Zzzip and definitely not the last. This place has something special to be able to attract the right people. I have in my two stays always met amazing people there. Jina and Bryan are amazing hosts, caring and always available, the group chat, the tips and recommendations are very well thought out, you will always have something to do or look forward to.

Wonderful hostel. Gina and Bryan are the best. It’s great to meet other travellers in a cozy atmosphere, and in the private room I had the perfect night sleep.

The hosts were very thoughtful and attentive. For example, they contacted me on the day of my arrival to provide instructions and make sure everything was clear. Jina was also very pleasant.
Breakfast was simple but sufficient, and it was a nice opportunity to get to know the hosts and other guests better. I also appreciated that the hostel encouraged a social atmosphere, where guests could interact and get to know each other, especially during breakfast.
If meeting other travellers and having a social experience are important to you, I would recommend this hostel.
I booked a four-person dormitory, but the room felt quite small, especially when all four guests were inside, making it difficult to move around comfortably.
I was already experiencing allergy symptoms from a previous accommodation with poor ventilation. Unfortunately, I experienced a similar issue here and woke up with significant nasal congestion. The limited space and lack of fresh air seemed to make it worse. For health reasons, I decided to move elsewhere. I believe better ventilation and air circulation are necessary.
I also noticed some maintenance and cleanliness issues around my upper bunk, including dead mosquitoes, and encountered a live mosquito and a spider during my stay.
The bathroom is inside the dormitory, divided into a shower and toilet area. I found it inconvenient, particularly when drying my hair without disturbing sleeping guests. An additional bathroom or separate drying area outside the dormitory would be helpful.
Finally, the door mechanism was noisy, and the alarm went off once, potentially disturbing other guests.
Overall
My impression is that this hostel’s main strength is its social atmosphere and the opportunity to meet other travellers. If meeting people is your priority, I would recommend it. However, if comfort, room space and good ventilation are important to you, I would suggest considering other accommodation options.
I paid KRW 131,000 for two nights (KRW 65,500 per night), so I expected a little more in terms of comfort, maintenance and facilities.
