wouldn't recommend

the area was nice

everything was moldy in the room, the bath had cold everywhere even on the shower curtains. on the ceiling and the rooms were big mold spots. Breakfast is actually no breakfast just a bit of toast cornflakes and milk and nothing else in a kitchen outside of the house. the bedding felt weird and the pillows were made of plastic ... so I wouldn't recommend ...

Very good

The location is perfect and the rooms are clean and nice. The employees were also very friendly and helpful.

The room size is pretty small, so for four people with luggage it's nearly impossible to move around the rooms but the price is good for the room size. Just don't expect a lot of space.

Great location but otherwise disappointing compared to pictures & descriptions

The location was perfect for us- in a quiet street near the excitement of Hongdae especially when you’re jetlqgged and everything is open no matter what time you’re up! For breakfast, eggs, toast, milk & cereal & instant coffee/hot drinks are available in a kitchen in another building. It can also be used if you’re cooking. The double beds were a good size. The staff was friendly and check in/out were straightforward. The Wifi was very good.

Our room was for 4 people but there was barely space for 3 of us. We had the room in the basement near the road. There was nowhere to put clothes or luggage so a stay longer than 1-2 nights is not recommended. Of course other rooms may be refurbished and not have the same issues. The air conditioner made loud noises several times during the night which sometimes woke us up. The worst really was the bathroom as there is no exhaust. It was always wet. A scraper could come in handy. Towels were impossible to dry; we hung them in the room which helped a little. These may be summer issues. Also, our TV did not work.

Korean minimal guesthouse with great location.

Great location! So close to the airport bus stop. There are a kitchen and self-service breakfast. The staff is so helpful.

Overall it is still livable but we won't come back again.

In terms of location, this is in a quieter place and about 10 mins walk to the train station - green line which is very convenient.

There are 2 more neighbours on our floor. It was pretty noisy at night as we could hear them talking loudly from our room. There is no sound proof so you could also be disturbed by the opening and closing of doors because we are so near to each other. We booked the largest room for 6 of us. Rooms are small especially the attic room upstairs - ceiling height is not even high enough to stand up straight. My grown up children has to bend down in order to shower, not only that, they have to walk around their room on attic level with their head bend down too. There are no hooks at all in the bathroom so no way to hang towels or clothes. No shower curtain on the 2nd level small toilet and therefore clothes got wet as we showered and no way to avoid that. We were told that they only give small towels everyday but not the big bath towel because they do not have enough. They will clear up the bins everyday but we noticed that they did not bother to clear the bins from the attic floor, only when you bring it down to the main door entrance. Towards the end of our stay, we also noticed that our shower gel being diluted with water because it is watery not like it used to be. Probably they just want to make it last until our last day of stay instead of adding new shower gel. Worst still our bins were not cleared at all on the day before we checked out. Water bottles was replenished only once during our 8 days of stay. Don't expect housekeeping too. Honestly, we don't enjoy our stay there.

great place to stay at for your Seoul trip!

within walking distance from Hongik station! across the road (5-10mins) walk is hongdae street already! there’s few convinence stores nearby which is very nice ! owner is very sweet too! the room is very cosy too! there’s a microwave outside the rooms!

hot water can be hard to adjust and at night can be pretty dark🥹 can be space constraints if you have huge luggage but otherwise it’s fine!

It was a convenient place to stay with a more affordable price for one traveler.

I loved how close it was to the station and that there was a cute cafe right across from the building! The subway station was super close by and the main part of Hongdae was within a 10 min walk! Check-in was super easy and the instructions were easy to follow.

There was an uncomfortable amount of mold throughout the bathroom and some parts of the windows.

pleasant but it will be better if room for 4 pax is better.

the family room is small for 4 of us. check-in is easy. but communications with the owner can be improved.

Superb

Close to hongdae but not too close, hence not as rowdy. Beds were comfortable and owner was very friendly. She even offered to dry our shoes after a heavy downpour. Value for money.

Only way to communicate was through booking.com msssenger, might be a bit tough if you don't have WiFi

Very good

Good location. Just 1-2 blocks from the main lively streets of Mapo/Hongdae. In between two metro stops (but about 10 min walk to either station). The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. Easy check in process. Quiet, cozy and mostly comfortable stay.

There were quite a few mosquitos on the upper floor and in one of the bedrooms.

Its good place, but...

I love the location, it was at a good quiet place. The beds were comfortable and the room itself was clean.

The bathrooms had mole on them and the showers needed deep cleaning. They need to bleach does areas that people see. I saw green mole and the top shower had a bunch of old mole ...

Comfortable and enjoyable stay

Very comfortable place to stay. It has everything that you need and is close to the metro but is located on a back street so it's very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay!

If I'm going to be picky, the room decor was dusty.

Would definitely recommend.

The room is okay size with comfortable bed and cute decoration. There are no facilities but I liked the shower head, it had very strong water pressure. Location is fantastic as you can just walk across 3-5 minutes to the main walking street of Hongdae, it doesn't get much better than that. There is a big new cafe opened just opposite and there are a lot of convenience stores/eateries around. The staff is also very helpful and accommodating. The whole check-in check-out process was smooth and painless. Would definitely recommend.

I can see some flies inside the room at first, and the bedsheet was not super clean, but it's okay for me because I only stayed one night.
