The location is very convenient!
I believe we were upstairs and there were people downstairs that I was unaware of. On one occasion someone bounced the downstairs door (that connects to our upstairs area indoors) very loudly to make a point—either that we were too loud, I am not sure—but it felt aggressive and I did not like that we were unaware that there were people below us. It honestly startled us all a lot. After that occasion I also felt a lot less at ease in the apartment. If there was an issue, it should have been communicated normally instead of pounding on a connecting door.

This was our first trip to Pico and staying at this house made our week so pleasant. We LOVED the views of Faial from the living room. Parking was easy and safe. VERY thankful for the household supplies, like toilet paper, etc. Everything was truly provided. There was a nice selection of spices to use in the kitchen. The kitchen had EVERYTHING needed to make some incredible meals. Groceries are plentiful and easy to access at the Continent and the Pingo Doce. Loved making coffee at home each morning and watching the activity in the channel between Pico and Faial. The birdwatching is fabulous, too! TONS of excellent restaurants for the evenings if you don't want to cook at home. We had the best time and truly relaxed in this perfect Pico home. The guest book is a treat to look through and I loved adding to it.

Great space , great views , easy walk to harbour . Very comfortable and homely. Great to have a washing machine , clothes line and dryer . We loved our shower room . Bed was comfy .
My only suggestion would be sharp knives and a dishwasher . I’m not moaning though we loved the place and booked an extra night .

it was very clean and had nice views of the bay. it is spacious and well decorated.
The property is not secure, the balcony door on the first floor does not lock. I notified the property about this and they said this was intentional so that guests don’t get locked out. This doesn’t seem like a great alternative and may be concerning, particularly for solo female travellers or families with children as the balcony can easily be reached from the front door.
The property manager is not particularly helpful when it comes to booking taxis, he recommended I contact a tour operator. That would be fine but the booking.com listing says they do offer a shuttle service at additional charge. The listing needs to be updated to be more accurate.
