I must commend the staff, specially Luka the manager who was very kind and thoughtful. The Lodge is older but is kept spotlessly clean by the staff. The location is perfect for walks along the Strand, a short stroll to the supermarket and 5 minute walk to the Seaview Hotel for a quiet drink and a lovely meal. Quite a few restaurants, cafes within minutes from the Lodge. Great pool for that afternoon dip. On site car parking for guests. And best of all, pet friendly.

I like the room and the location.
Did not like the male worker. I stayed there with my kids and the hand basin was broken already and the male worker said my kids and I broke it and tried charging me room damages and I had to argue against him as he wouldn't listen and I asked several times for management. As I got back into office he got off the phone and said he would return the money and did not apologise or anything. I understand and would have paid if we did break it but because I knew I was in the right I wasn't backing down. Management sorted it out over phone, it would have been nice to speak to manager as the bloke did not apologise or anything. I have a new born and he thought it was ok to treat me the way he did. So just a word of advice from some one who experienced this take photos of any damages before hand.
