Great location, staff were super lovely
Room was nice and comfortable
Didn’t get new ‘complimentary’ toiletries and I was there for 10 days. Nothing was topped up or replaced. I ran out of everything as all they provide was 30mL bottles…
Had to ask for the room to be cleaned and sometimes even then they didn’t empty the bins. There is nothing to wash dirty dishes with yourself, and they were never taken away when the room was cleaned. That was a little frustrating.

The hotel room was clean, comfortable, & modern - having been relatively recently renovated. Good location - being a stone's throw from the beach/the Strand, where there are a number of different dining options.
Most of the hotel rooms are up on the first floor/level one (there did not appear to be any rooms on the ground floor), & the hotel has no lift/elevator.
So for people with significant &/or heavy luggage - this could pose a problem, as they would have to climb the stairs with all their luggage. It also may make the hotel unsuitable for disabled people, as it is not "wheelchair accessible".
At $264.00 per night for a single room with one single bed, it seemed to be quite expensive, considering I had only paid around $160.00 per night for a much larger room with a double bed plus a single bed, at a couple of other local motels just a few days earlier. I don't know why the room at the Hotel Allan was so much more expensive - perhaps there was a greater demand on the 2 nights I was there - because when I made the booking, it was one of the cheaper hotels/motels, as many of the other hotels/motels were already fully booked & not available on the nights in question.

The location and the staff were WONDERFUL.
The bed was old with no support left in it - a total joke. Only one chair and one bowl in a room sleeping 3 people. The building hasn't been designed well and carries a lot of noise. Loud people came home at all hours of the night.
