The worst hotel in town

The pool

The worst room I have ever stayed in It was dirty The spring coming out of the mattress The jug was dirty The cups in the fridge dirty Damage to the walls stains all over the walls and floors I didn’t even shower as the shower just looked dirty and filthy would never stay again I had other photos but My children are in them

It was in a great location - has swimming pool, big outside eating area etc probably needs a clean up with a bit of secu

Location was the best

The security on doors and windows was non existent as it was ground floor, anyone could slide window and get in room and the bathroom window just didn’t lock at all - the inside was spacious BUT the fridge was dripping water into the crisper at bottom of fridge. No cutlery in room.

Friendly staff, nice meal

Clean, comfortable, lots of stairs with large suitcase, bed comfortable but next to wall, not good for night time toilet visit

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation but well situated.

Staff were helpful. Location close to The Strand-excellent but very noisy traffic wise. The room had all essentials (except for hairdryer) but needed refurbishing.

A lift is required to access upstairs rooms. Mattress of poor quality

the room was not clean although the sheets and towels were of good quality… bathroom had debris in the showers drain and a used cake of soap on the floor beside toilet… carpet had debris also.. fridge not been defrosted for quite awhile… tv remote broken…. not a great experience very disappointed

Reasonably priced and good location. Easy check in and friendly staff. I always stay here when in Townsville so I know what to expect.

Air con was old and noisy but otherwise no major problems.

Good value for an overnight stay, just lower expectations

Good location, plenty of parking, the staff were absolutely wonderful. Shower was decent. It was cheap, which was key to me as I just needed a place to sleep for the night on the way to another destination. Check in was easy, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It was very quiet - it was pouring down rain outside and I didn’t even know until I opened the bathroom door.

It’s very outdated, very run down, a bit of a dive. No wifi. That said - I knew what I was getting into and it didn’t bother me. I wouldn’t stay for a long time, but would definitely do an overnighter again as required.

It is close to the ocean. The pool is very nice and clean. After a hot day just the right thing to jump in.

budget accommodation with excellent air conditioning but not somewhere I would stay again

big room with great single beds for the kids and a excellent air conditioning

the double bed sinks inwards and our feet were higher than our head! the toilet is broken with a crack all the way through the bowl which at any time could shatter the porcelain bowl with someone landing in a pile of broken porcelain. the door downstairs has been set light to - obvious fire damage. we were very close to the smokers area and very strong smell of cigarettes everywhere except thankfully not in our room

Value for money

Price is great, room was serviced during my 2 day stay, swimming pool, staff was helpful.

The place is old but the price is fabulous.

Don't go there

Location was great for getting to amenities. Lady that was serving in the bar and restaurant was delightful.

Where does one start.... cannot access hotel part unless you walk around the back of hotel or the pub is open. The rooms were a good size but old and in dire need of renovation. Cracks and flaky paint, dampness, bed was as old as the hills stained and saggy. Carpets were stained and torn. Bathroom well the plumber should be fired with the amount of silicone around the tap to hold it in! All in all had I known how bad it.was going to be I wod have gone elsewhere. One staff member rude and curt told me to.walk back the way I came !
