A great stay in Voi

The hotel has scenic views of wildlife both from the terrace and the rooms. There's a good variety of food served and appeals to different palates. The staff always have a smile on and ready to help.

There were phones in the rooms. If you needed help you had to walk to the reception (not great if it's the middle of the night) or you'd have to call the number online which was busy most times. No TV so bring your own entertainment.

Lodge in the nature, super helpful staff

The staff was super kind and available. I had forgotten my phone charger and adapter in the room and the staff was so kind to send it to me in Nairobi. The location is also very great with elephants roaming in the front park area.

I had a cold shower maybe was a problem with my room. Though was not really cold so it was find.

Exceptional

room was amazing. very clean very cosy with a view directly on the waterhole and elefants. Also Loved the game drive with James. he new a lot about the wildlife

Amazing waterhole, amazing staff.Great food.

Located next to a waterhole with superb close up views of elephant and other animals and birds.

Access road difficult at present due to road works ! Plugs in basins can be a problem !

Exceptional

Amazing view. Elephants that are almost within hand reach. Very magical experience to be there. They have some beautiful gardens around and the staff is friendly.

Lots of ants in the room, but that is to be expected when you're in a lodge. Also, some guests were very loud and fighting when the elephants were near. The breakfast was OK. Nothing too special. Some fruits, some egg, etc... Didn't think much of it.

the food was great... but limited

When we arrived we were delighted- however that didn't last. The location & rooms exceeded our expectations, but the loud music at the pool and music playing in the restaurant in the evening was intrusive to the natural park environment and spoilt our experience. Many of the guests spoke loudly on mobile speaker phones, and staff made no effort to try to get them to keep the noise down. While not directly the fault of the staff - they made no effort to implement the minimal signage that requested people to not talk loudly. We also ordered drinks from the bar, but the waitress made an error, but we were charged despite returning the drinks, as we had poured them into glasses before realising the error. After complaining, the previously helpful staff became surly for the rest of our 2 day stay. Amazing location - but more like a theme park than a wonderful wildlife park environment. I've been to better and wouldn't come back again.

i love that it was soooo close to the wildlife

granted it’s hard to control this. I saw a scorpion on my pillow just before going to bed. there were many bugs, spiders, crickets, moths, grasshoppers but the scorpion on my bed was terrifying.

I liked the fact that it's at the border of Tsavo East

When I called the hotel for direction the femal staff who picked the call was rude, and unclear. She was not professional. Lunch was delayed: We needed to leave right after lunch for other connections. They said that lunch would be served at 12pm sharp and even prevented us from sitting in the dining room area before 12pm, but they were slow in placing food in the buffet area for more than 20 minutes. It would be great if they kept the same dinning time that they impose on the visitors. Mosquito net was torn

Very good

The staff are soooo friendly and helpful!!!! The room was large and the bed was comfortable. It was great for a one night stay.

The hotel isn't easily accessible. I tried to use Google maps but got lost along the way.

The staff, room, location and food were all great. We saw lots of elephants which made it even better!

Nothing really, perhaps a slightly earlier start for dinner as that's late for small children.

Very unprofessional on managements part. Gave them sufficient time to solve issue, before review!

Breakfast was fine, location was fine

Everything was great except being robbed in the middle of night, by people with dublicate key who entered my room as I was sleeping and stole $120,000 KES or $1200 US dollars. Made police report, Two suspects were suppossedly arrested, two employes by the way(security guards). How are you arrested without evidence! (In this case the money) then released. Money was never recovered, but here is the kicker! Was charged for my stay, after obviously being robbed by probably employees. Can not contact owners, information unavailable, manager refused to give info. Booking.com reached out to property for refund, they said nothing can be done! The good side to this, is I didn't wake up, could have turned dangerous!

Impeccable service in ideal location for Tsavo East and siting wildlife at the waterhole. Not cheap but you get what you

on boundary of Tsavo East national reserve overlooking the reserve and two waterholes. viewing platforms right over the waterhole and bar and restaurant immediately in front. Nice clean pool. Everywhere kept spotless. very high ratio of staff to guests. impeccable caring service by all staff. very nicely prepared fresh meals to suit all tastes.

Nothing not to like. The access road however is in need of maintenance.

Great staff, location and wildlife, rooms are poor.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location was good as it was an overnight stop on my way to the coast. Wildlife was fantastic. The rooms were dated at best and definitely not worth the money I paid.

Overall good but not perfect

The scenery and the view on various Wildlife was great and relaxing. And the service was nice. I recomend to try the masala chai it was very tasty.

For this type of hotel and the price I was expecting better quality food, it was good but could be improve. Laudry is expensive if you have a lot of clothes to wash. And there were holes in the mosquito net of the bed.

Very good

The pond in front, the peer and it’s proximity to Tsavo East. Tsavo East is a great park and Voi Wildlife Lodge needs more promoting. Not sure how long it’ll survive with a skeleton crew. The staff is awesome top to bottom. The pools are awesome!

There wasn’t much to dislike. The rooms may need upgrading, which would be costly of course. It’s basically a well built structure.
