The building and surrounding environment were very luxuriou
The bed, chair, and trash bin were old, worn, and damaged. The cleanliness was only average. The massage therapist at the Marriott hotel had her hair loose, and it touched my face during the massage. She also breathed onto my face. The body massage was incomplete, and when I pointed it out, she made remarks, sounds, and gestures implying “fat” while massaging my stomach. Compared to the massage given to another customer, hers was unprofessional and done very poorly.

- Good breakfast buffet.
- The gym is very great - Lot of machines to work all body muscles.
- Very clean room, good cleaning service, very comfortable bed but very noisy (due to construction early morning)
- Spacious room and well equipped.
- Nice designed hotel and beautiful garden.
I went there during Chinese holiday which is supposed to be a big time for hotels, but :
- Called the hotel before booking to ask if the swimming pool is opened, they said : YES. However, the Senior swimming pool was closed due to Covid-19 but the small swimming pool was opened. They could have informed me before. (see pictures)
- Almost no international TV channels (only 5 or 6) in the room.
- Poor level of English of all staff.
- No activities at all in hotel after 9PM. The lobby bar is moody, no music, no aircon,.. the other bar called "fish bar" is closed or even abandoned ?! Nice hotel but without life!
- The BBQ dinner buffet! No grilled meat, cheap hot pot food,... For the price paid (199 RMB), it is a joke!! They don't even have wine! (asked twice and even proposed to buy a bottle but no staff dared to fill our request)
No other choice than ordering in dinning room service if you don't want to take the buffet !
- The noise! Stay away of this hotel as far as the Haikou convention center construction is not finished! They start bulldozer and truck engines every morning before 7AM and then... impossible to sleep! (see pictures of the construction from the room)
