Great time-out resort to enjoy the sun and ocean.

This resort was an amazing find. The room is elegant and very big. What’s best, it’s located right at the Mawella beach which was practically a private beach. Not many people. The resort also has a pool so when you get tired of the salty ocean water, you can cool yourself in the pool. There is a great restaurant SeaDragon right at the beach with the best food experience of Sri Lanka.

very nice manager and comfortable rooms - very serene location directly on a wide beach, if you’re looking for quiet peace. great for sunsets and a run in the morning!

Tangalle and the hotel were a little more remote and quiet than we expected - our mistake, but it’s quiet a ride until you get to restaurants or outside life

really nice place to relax!

it a really nice and peaceful place! directly at the beach, that is not crowed at all. but this might be because there were not a lot of tourists at the same time in general. the manager was lovely, he helped wherever he could and was very friendly. his English was really good so we could also asked a lot. was very clean and really big rooms! breakfast was totally ok!

some love it some miss it: the place is located more quite so if you expect to go out the street and find places to eat etc. you will not find a lot.

Nice accommodation

Nice beach in front of the hotel. Small hotel with just 5 rooms. The staff is really eager to assist with every need. Breakfast ok- like everywhere in Sri Lanka (toast, egg, fruit juice, coffe, tea, fruits) The location is a bit isolated. You need tuktuks to get around. Tangalle is Around 20min by tuktuk.

During our stay there were sometimes 12h power cuts (=no wifi, no light, no water) due to the current situation in Sri Lanka.

A wonderfully relaxing trip with accommodation on a beautiful isolated beach. Just what we needed.

Facilities were fantastic. Large rooms, close to outdoor restaurant, pool, garden and beach. Very helpful friendly staff as well as the owner and his son. They made many arrangemnts for us during our stay.

I would have enjoyed a little tastier breakfast-but that was more than made up for by the lunch menu; the 'finger fish' were delicious. Bed has a wooden surround which looks nice, but is painful when bumped into in the night.

Exceptional

Very large and comfortable room, nice pool and directly on a very nice beach. All staff very friendly,especially the manager from Kandy, he has a real heart of gold! Would stay again if in Tangalle!

Wonderful!!

This accommodation was one of our favorites on our trip at the south coast. We planned one night and stayed for 4. Excellent value for money! The room is huge and has a little sitting area inside and outside. The wonderful beach is right in front of it. The beach is quiet and relaxing. Two very nice restaurants are right next it at the beach. The very tasty breakfast is served in a nice area. We enjoyed the very nice talks with the staff -very friendly and heartwarming people!

It’s quiet and pleasant and it’s Mewella beach that made the stay worthwhile.

It’s situated on the most beautiful beach which we ended up calling lonely beach. No words to describe the beauty of the beach.

Beautiful rooms, cool pool but not the best location.

Cool new rooms, great pool, its literaly on the beach.

I think it can be a bit cheaper, for example water cost here 440 LRK which is crazy :) Also the beach is not very cool, so better to take tuk tuk to Tangalle. Not much else around here.

Superb

We had a very nice and spacy room with a nice view. The airconditioning was excellent. The manager and the staff were very kind, helpfull and caring. The food was delicious: fresh fish at a reasonable price. On our request we got a Sri Lankan breakfast. Very tasty and well prepared. The beach is clean and quite. We can recommend this accommodation to everyone. We loved our stay here.

Beautiful beach location

The room was amazing, a lot of space and beautiful furnishing. The bathroom was also nicely decorated and clean. The staff was always courteous and friendly and the beach is right next to the resort and very lonely. WiFi worked good as well. Would come back any time!

Hidden gem with beautiful, unlisted beach

This place is a hidden gem in that the hotel has been recently renovated and the beach the property sits in front of is unlisted. I couldn't find the beach anywhere, not even on Google maps. This means, no one is on it and it's the most beautiful beach we saw in Sri Lanka. I wish we could have stayed longer here and enjoyed this location more!! Great breakfast and beautiful rooms, too. Don't miss!
