My friend and I traveled to Catania and stayed for 3 nights. Catania Inn Rooms is in a very central location to the historic district, the fish market, the cathedral and even the amphitheatre. The host gave us a map with suggestions of places to visit and restaurants. The room we booked had a balcony overlooking the street and you could see down to the cathedral. The room had a double bed and 2 twin beds. The beds were comfortable and the room was kept very clean during our stay. There was also a lovely sitting room with another balcony overlooking the street, and a room where you could make coffee or tea. The hosts were very accommodating and we could come and go with our own keys to the outer street door, as well as the key to the Inn and our room. It is up a couple flights of stairs, and there is also a small elevator up to the property. The night before we left, the hosts ordered a taxi, which arrived promptly for our ride to the airport.
There is no breakfast, but there are so many lovely cafes a block away that we just went out every morning. Staff is not on hand at all times, but communication is very good.
