We made a last minute decision to stay in Brienz and so booked the Hotel Alpenrose, which ended up being the highlight of our stay in the area. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the beds were super comfortable, the surroundings are beautiful and there is lots to do in the area. We'd definitely come and stay again.

The hotel is well situated in a quiet area at walking distance from the Ballenberg museum. The dining room looks quite nice and the dining buffet was good.
The dining room is noisy. The mattrass was bad. Our room stituated right under the roof had its floor trembling all the time the kitchen ventilator was switched on.
