The breakfast was great, and the hotel was a great place to start our experiences in Turkey. The staff was very nice, and helped us find the underground parking lot that was across the street, under the mosque. Though most staff spoke very little English, they all could use Google translate to help answer our questions. Also, our room had a wonderful view of the mosque. Kars was a fun town to visit, and it was a great home base for us to visit the local fortress, Ani, and Sarikamis.
One of our rooms was a 4-person room, but the room was standard size, so there was very little space to organize our suitcases. We happened to arrive at the time of a religious holiday (and market day), so it was hard to find a place by the hotel to park to check in. This holiday also meant that some of the nearby restaurants were closed, but we still found very good options.

I arrived at midnight which was unexpected. The staff, however, were very friendly. My room was great, nice and quiet even though it was at the front of the building. It was a short walk from the train station. The breakfast was amazing. Plenty of variety and home made little spring rolls. Friendly staff in the breakfast room as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

I like the location of the hotel , It is in the mid of the town and close to what ever you need.
also the staff were very good , friendly and helpfully.
The whole hotel needs renovation, furniture is old and the rooms' doors are opened by keys not by cards : can you believe it : The Lift is too small and can hardly fit for two people
