The location is unbeatable. The staff are so friendly, especially at breakfast and in the bar in the evening.
The hotel is a bit dated overall; a refurbishment would undoubtedly make it one of the top hotels in the area.

The resort is very nice. The staff from the front desk to the restaurant were all excellent. Food and service in the restaurant was very good. We had a suite with private yard…perfect for our little dog Thomas. They spoiled him with a dog bed, his own blanket, and welcome kit…the first time he’s ever received so much. Our stay was too short!
Our shower drained slow but otherwise we enjoyed everything else about our room.

Beautiful view of the Douro river.
Breakfast was completely chaotic. Long queues to get a breakfast coffee. At one point no cups either. No obvious attention to food cross contamination re gluten. Poolside area was bordered by extremely sharp stones?!
