Ground floor ensuite room, peaceful and clean. Great value for money for August in the Azores.
We had an early start, breakfast was set up so we could just help ourselves in the morning. A good selection provided.
Tasca restaurant located just behind accommodation.
Nice swim spot down the road with metal steps in to crystal clear, calm water.
Signage to main entrance and parking was work in progress but a quick call to owner helped with that.

The breakfast was good. Friendly kitchen staff. There was enough space in the courtyard to park the cars of the overnight guests. Very peaceful location.
Check-in can take a long time. There may not be any staff on site at all times. The phone numbers to call are on a sign on the front door. When we called one of them, the owner answered. However, it took us about three quarters of an hour before a staff member came and let us in.
We had booked a suite, which is located in a separate building. Everything would have been nice, but it turned out that the toilet drain tap was turned off, as water was constantly flowing through the toilet - apparently the bottom valve of the toilet’s tank was completely broken. I called the owner, who promised to send someone to fix the problem. Since it was Friday evening and it was getting close to six o'clock p.m., I didn't expect anyone to come right away. I found some old cleaning buckets under the canopy in the courtyard, and we started using one of them in the toilet, collecting water to clean the toilet. The constant flow of water is not enough to clean the toilet.
We were there for five nights in total, but during that entire time, no one came to fix the problem. There was also something else in the toilet-shower room that needed the eye and hand of a proper host (e.g. the seals on the shower door were loose and did not keep the water out, here could be as little as one hook on the wall for a hand towel).
So whoever books this place to stay must be prepared that if problems arise (which are not related to the kitchen staff), they will not see a solution.
